To John White: I am sorry, sir, its obvious that you've been misinformed of the history of the Roman Catholic church. It's beginning was 321 A.D. started by Constantine. Up until that time, the true church, God's little flock, was persecuted, tortured and killed for sport. Sabbath keeping on the Saturday, the 7th day of the week, was forbidden. Instead, it was required that "the Day of the Sun" be kept in honor of Romans' sun-god. Which incidentally, if one can reason, is why the first day of the week is called "SUN"day.

If any desire the truth, I recommend "Too Long in the Sun", "The Other Side of Rome" and "The Two Babylons". Just as a judge must hear both sides of the issue, we, too, MUST read BOTH sides of the argument. Without hearing all of the evidence we cannot find the truth. If we listen to just one side, we become prejudiced.

I fear you have ignored the history of the Catholic church in all probability because you are afraid to see the truth. Seek the truth above all. Jesus said, "I am the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIGHT and NO MAN comes to the Father but by Me", not the RCC, or any other denomination. In fact, He said, too, that if any try to come to the Father by any way but Him, they are a thief and a robber. Again, you must come to the Father through Christ and Christ alone.

Of what practical use is it to know that the Bible is infallible, if we can’t interpret it infallibly? Error is error, whether it originates from the Scriptures themselves or from their interpreter. We know that the Scriptures are infallible, but it’s obvious that our "private interpretation" of them is not. If the Protestant experience has proved anything, it has proved that the Bible can be interpreted in more than one way, to put it mildly. Wherever there is disagreement, there is necessarily error, on one side or the other, so how can we know which interpretation is correct?

Jesus promised the apostles and their successors that the Holy Spirit would teach them all things, remind them of everything Jesus said, and guide them into all truth (John 14:26, 16:13). Thus, the Holy Spirit guides the Catholic Church, that "pillar and foundation of the truth" (1 Tim. 3:15) to infallibly interpret the infallible Bible. Those who trust that guidance can spend their time living their faith, rather than trying to figure it out in the first place. Those who do not trust that guidance have to rely on their own private interpretation (usually that of their pastor or denomination), and they simply have no way of knowing for sure that their interpretation is correct.

The results of these two systems are plain: in two thousand years there is still only one Catholic Church, but in only five hundred years there are tens of thousands of Protestant denominations that disagree on even "essential" doctrines.
I ask you where was "your" Church before 1860? remember . It can't hide under the bushel basket (cf. Matt.. 5:15). So it "must" be "visible" throughout "all" time. In the end then what you are left with is merely "another" heretical denomination refusing to submit to Christ's command of unity. You completely disregard the teaching of Our Lord when He said, "...and there shall be ONE FOLD and ONE SHEPHERD." John 10:16 (so you see your "sect" of christianity doesn't even qualify to begin with friend).

Heretical sects such as yours hurts the Christian cause, as it is satan's way to divide and
conquer, and it is GOD's way to unite into one Church with one Shepherd. Beliefs such as "yours" are making protestantism even more and more "impotent".

You have "not" headed scriptures "clear" warning:

NONE of the early Christians believed as you do. Are you so ignorant of scripture and so void of scriptural integrity that you expect us to believe that Christ LIED to the ENTIRE Christian community.

This is exactly what you do with your attack on his Church. For "your" brand of christianity to be believed, we must first throw out nearly 2,000 years of history.

Jesus said his Church would be "the light of the world." He then noted that "a city set on a hill cannot be hid" (Matt. 5:14). This means "his" Church is a visible organization. It must have characteristics that clearly identify it and that distinguish it from other churches. Jesus promised, "I will build my Church and the gates of hell will not prevail
against it" (Matt. 16:1. This means that his Church will "never" be destroyed and will never fall away from him. His Church will survive until his return.

Among the Christian churches, "only" the Catholic Church has existed since the time of Jesus. Every other Christian church is an offshoot of the Catholic Church. The Protestant churches were established during the Reformation, which began in 1517. (Most of today's Protestant churches are actually offshoots of the original Protestant offshoots.) Or in your case sects of sects of offshoots!

Only the Catholic Church existed in the tenth century, in the fifth century, and in the first century, faithfully teaching the doctrines given by Christ to the apostles, omitting "nothing". The line of popes can be traced back, in unbroken succession, to Peter himself.

The Catholic Church has existed for nearly 2,000 years, despite constant opposition from satan and those that do his bidding, (attacking Christ's Church) throughout the world. This is testimony to the Church's "divine" origin. It must be more than a merely human organization, especially considering that its human members- even some of its leaders-have been unwise, corrupt, or prone to heresy.

Any merely human organization with such members would have collapsed early on. The Catholic Church carries with it Christ's promise Matt 16:18 The Catholic Church is today the most vigorous church in the world (and the largest, with a billion members: one sixth of the human race), and that is testimony not to the cleverness of the Church's
leaders, but to the"protection" of the Holy Spirit.

I would also like to add the following verses:

"What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? I was wondering what was meant by "we are no longer under the law"? Is that in reference to the explicit commandments of God? I understand Apostle Paul had reproved the Galatians for not obeying the truth, and endeavored to impress upon them with a sense of their folly thereof. So in those verses he largely proves the doctrine which they had rejected, specifically that of justification by faith without the works of the law. In several ways he used Abraham's example of justification, which ultimately had a few well-known incidents of workable faith, remember the test with Isaac? Another such example of the law as Paul was describing as that by its own merits the law condemns us. If we put ourselves upon the trial in that court, and stand to the sentence of it, we are certainly found guilty and likewise "condemned". Which clearly identifies "for as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse". Yet the condition of life, by the law, is perfect, personal, and with perpetual obedience one finds life everlasting. When we fall short of God's law we ultimately sin, and as you are quite aware I'm sure follows Romans 6:23. It appears Paul was describing a way out from the curse of the law, while obtaining favour and mercy from God, primarily through faith in salvation. The law of God still stands, and we are held accountable for our obedience to it, all of it. For isn't it written God said "I am that I am" and that "I change not", wouldn't you agree?

This is an excellent site for educational and research purposes, but I would not recommend that we encourage unbelievers and new Christians to come here, as there are too many controversial issues unfolding. This is confusing and I fear that by satan's deceptive workings, souls will be lost via this website. We don't have time to mess with or over lives/souls! JESUS IS ABOUT TO MAKE HIS APPEARANCE! Those that are ready will go back with Him, and those that are not will have to stay here and go through the Tribulation Period, and I don't want to be the cause of anyone going thru that. And just how many mothers will stand back and watch her little baby starve to death rather than take the mark of the beast so that she can feed him/her?!? I don't want her blood to be required at my hands. We need to HELP people get right with God, and RIGHT NOW!

Furthermore, it is imperative that all pray to God for guidance in finding a church-home, and a pastor whose beliefs are founded on The unadulterated Word of God. The Bible exhorts us: Hebrews 10:25 (King James Version) "Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." Please don't play on words with me.... that means "physically, and in one place together", and not "together online". Online is good, but we need to obey The Word of God and assemble under the leadership of a pastor, as directed by God! Get there and stay there! God set up a hierarchy for His Church, and under Jesus, the pastor is the head. We cannot change that.

This is the Church-Age, the Dispensation of Grace. And by the way, we are no longer under the law, as The Bible tells us plainly that we have been made free from the curse of the law. Galatians 3:10-14 (King James Version) 10"For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them." 11"But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith." 12"And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them." 13"Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:" 14"That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith."

The law could neither save us nor keep us saved. But JESUS came, bled and died for our sins, that we might become the righteousness of God, our own righteousness being filthy rags in His sight! He went back to Glory and sent Holy Ghost, that is The Spirit of God, Who dwells in us, to bring back to our remembrance everything we read in His Word, and everything we hear from His Word. And He leads us to pastors after His own heart, to watch over our souls and give account to God for us. ("Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you." - Hebrews 13:17). We actually NEED pastors, ladies and gentlemen.

When we come on here and read bits and pieces of what we have to say, we need to understand the whole of the matter. When we read bits and pieces of Word that is typed on here, we had better know/find out to whom that Word is written, to what dispensation of time it is referring, and the why of it. Otherwise, we will lead/are leading people astray. How sad. God forbid!

When I ask the Pastors I know about not following the law especially the the 4th commandment, they usually say that Christ has redeemed us from the Law and the Prophet. We have now liberty on how, when, and where to worship God.

When I first got born again, my first question was why Christians worship on Sunday when God said to honor the Sabbath day? I really want to honor and worship God on His sabbath, but can't find a church in our place that worship on the sabbath.

I have been watching and reading the site with utmost interest. I am the proverbial "prodigal" in that I walked with God for many years, but went astray. I have a deep knowledge of the Bible, in the Pentecostal view, but there are things on this site that truly make me go "hmmmm."

Torn between what I know and what I thought was true and what I read nowadays, it is difficult for me to make a firm stand on anything out there.

I will just keep watching, keep learning, and keep trying to pass those quizzes in the online Bible study offered by WLC )

in the bible, it is proved god sends his prophets to warn or share good news to his ppl. now in modern world, we could see a number of well known person who does miracle and prophency god's plan to this world. some website with a concrete prove from the bible condemns this well known person as false prophets. now whm should i believe...the website or the well known person whom does miracles in jesus name?

We know from Scriptures Alan that the ideals you very much wish to see permeating society will not happen, especially the closer we get to the end. We have been foretold so by Apostle Paul in 2Tim. 3:13: "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived." One more reason why we should strive to be candidates for the better world which awaits the faithful.
