Guiding Principles for the Examination of Baptismal Candidates

1. Do you believe that there is one Creator whose name is Yahuwah, a personal, spiritual being, the creator of all things, omnipotent, omniscient, and eternal, infinite in wisdom, holiness, justice, goodness, truth, and mercy; unchangeable, and everywhere present by his representative, the Holy Spirit?  Ps. 139:7.

2. Do you believe that Yahushua is the literal Son of the eternal Father before incarnation and the only Saviour of mankind? Have you accepted Him as your personal Saviour for salvation from sin, which He offers through His grace? Will you invite Him every day to dwell in your heart through His holy Spirit. John 1:12-13 ; Galatians 2:20

3. Do you accept the Bible as the inspired Word of Yahuwah, and do you take it as your rule of faith and practice? 2 Timothy 3:16-17 ; Acts 20:32

4. Have you repented of, and confessed ALL known sin to Yahuwah, believing that He, for Yahushua's sake has forgiven you? As far as possible, have you made reconciliation with those whom you have wronged or with those who have wronged you? 1 John 1:9 ; Matthew 5:23-26 ; Ezekiel 33:15

5. Is it your purpose, through the power of the indwelling Christ, to live surrendered to Yahuwah, doing His will in all things, and keeping all the commandments of Yahuwah? Romans 12:1 ; Colossians 3:17 ; Revelation 12:17; 22:14

6. Will you endeavor to maintain daily communion with Yahuwah by personal worship in prayer and the study of Yahuwah's word? Will you support and/or provide family worship morning and evening in your home? Daniel 6:10 ; 1 Timothy 2:1 ; 2 Timothy 2:1

7. Do you recognize your responsibility to share the everlasting gospel with others? Will you commit your life in witness and example, as far as possible, to lead men and women to surrender their lives to Christ? Matthew 28:19 ; Mark 16:15

8. Do you believe in the imminent return of Yahushua, that His coming will be personal, visible, and accompanied by the heavenly angels? Acts 1:9-11 ; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 ; John 14:1-3

9. Do you accept that man is mortal; and that in death he is in unconscious state, referred to as sleep? Do you believe that at the Second Coming of Yahushua, the faithful of all ages will be raised, caught up, and granted immortality with the living saints to meet Yahushua in the air? Daniel 12:2 ; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-16 ; 1 Corinthians 15:51-55

10. Do you believe the great message of Christ our Righteousness; that we are justified and sanctified only through His sacrifice and High Priestly ministry for us? Romans 5:1-9 ; Acts 26:18 ; Ephesians 5:25-27

11. Recognizing that obedience is the fruit of the Christ-given sanctification, do you believe that all the commandments are a transcript of His character, and the keeping of these commandments, through the power of the indwelling of Christ, is the evidence of salvation in the saints? Revelation 22:14 ; 14:12; 12:17 ; Jude 24 ; 1 Corinthians 10:13

12. Do you believe that the seventh day of the week is Yahuwah's holy, sacred, Sabbath day; a day of rest from all secular pursuits and of special worship to Yahuwah? Do you recognize that Yahuwah's Sabbath is determined not by the Gregorian pagan calendar but rather by His calendar? Luke 23:56 ; Exodus 20:8-11 ; Isaiah 58:13-14

13. Do you recognize that the Sabbath, as a Memorial of Creation, is representative of the Seal of Yahuwah, and that Sunday worship is the pagan counterfeit described by the Bible as "'The Mark of the Beast"? Exodus 31:13 ; Ezekiel 20:12, 20 ; Revelation 13:16 ; 14:1,9, 10 ; Genesis 2:1-3

14. Do you recognize that the papacy is the great Antichrist of the Bible prophecy, that it was the great, persecuting power of the Middle Ages, and will again persecute Yahuwah's saints at the end of time? Do you recognize that the papacy attempted to change the Sabbath and has allowed many pagan errors to come into the Christian church? 1 John 4:2-3 ; Daniel 7:25 ; Revelation 13:1-8

15. Will you practice the Bible plan for the support of Yahuwah's work, by rendering unto Him the tithe, or tenth of all your increase, and the sacrificial offerings according to how the Yahushau has prospered you?

16. Is it your purpose to obey the instruction to eat and drink to the glory of Yahuwah by abstaining from all intoxicating liquors, tobacco in all its forms, all unclean meats, narcotics, teas, coffee, cola drinks, and other harmful substances? 1 Corinthians 10:31 ; 3:16-17 ; Leviticus 11 ; Proverbs 23:29-30 ; Isaiah 66:15,17

17. Are you committed to follow the Bible principle of modesty and simplicity in dress, refraining from the wearing of makeup, colorful nail adornment that draws attention to oneself, so that your influence might reflect the inner adornment of a life that will attract men and women to Yahushua? Will you determine to refrain from any lack of dress or style of dress that is out of keeping with the Bible concepts of modesty? 1 Timothy 2:9-10 ; 1 Peter 3:3-4 ; Exodus 33:5-6 ; Genesis 35:2-4 ; Deuteronomy 22:5 ; Isaiah 3:16-24

18. Recognizing the seriousness of the call of Christ upon your life and service, is it your purpose to refrain from all worldly amusements and sinful practices such as: dancing, card-playing, theater attending, novel reading, competitive sports, watching unprofitable television programs, and shunning all other questionable worldly amusements? 1 John 2:15 ; James 1:27; 4:4

19. Do you believe that in 1844 Christ began the Investigative Judgment in the second apartment of the heavenly sanctuary and that He is now ministering as our High Priest? Do you believe that in the Most Holy Place, Christ makes final atonement for our sins, where they will be blotted out if confessed and forsaken? Daniel 8:14; 7:9-14, 7:25-27 ; Leviticus 16

20. Do you believe that the closing gospel message of the three angels is now going to the world; and that under the power of the latter rain, those who have been truly sanctified by Yahushua will give the loud cry, calling men and women out of all denominations that constitute Babylon and into Yahuwah's remnant church- church of the first born as found in Hebrews 12:18-24? Revelation 14:6-14; 18:1-4 ; Joel 2:28 ; Hosea 10:12

21. Do you recognize that the remnant church has the Spirit of Prophecy, and that in these last days this gift has been especially manifested to the true church through the writings of Ellen G. White? Revelation 12:17; 19:10

22. Do you believe in, and have you accepted the ordinances of humility and the Yahusha's supper which symbolize the commitment of giving your whole life to Yahushua and dying to the old life of sin? Is it your purpose to walk in the footsteps of Yahushua? John 13:10-17 ; 1 Corinthians 11:23-33 ; 1 John 2:6

23. Do you believe that conversion is the new birth experience, and that unless you are born of water (the baptism of repentance; forgiveness; justification) and the Spirit (the baptism of obedience; continual cleansing; sanctification) you cannot enter Into the Kingdom of Yahuwah? John 3:3-5 ; 1 Peter 1:22-23

24. Do you believe in baptism by immersion, and is it your desire to manifest faith and acceptance in the saving grace of our Master, Yahushua, by public baptism in the name of Yahushua as has been the pure custom in the early church (see Acts 2:37 ; Acts 8:12 ; Acts 10:48 ;& Acts 19:5 ). As evidence of this decision, do you resolve to accept and live by the historic beliefs of the pioneers of the Seventh-Day Adventist church, which are posted at the Our Beliefs section of the World's Last Chance website, and unite with the church of the first born believers of Hebrews 12:18-24 and sever all links, connections and membership with all of today's churches which are fallen in His eyes for having mixed truth with error? Matthew 3:6-17; 28:18-20 ; Colossians 2:12 ; Romans 6:3-5 . END.

25. Do you pledge to restore and uphold the true and non-pagan names of the Father [Yahuwah] and the Son [Yahushau], confessing that there is power in the original names (Proverbs 18:10;Acts 4:12), and acknowledging Satan's success in hiding the original names (Jeremiah 23:27) to deny His people the divine power and blessings that comes from uttering and meditating on the true names? Do acknowledge the prophecy of Hosea 2:17 that in the last days Yahuwah has promised to 'take away the names of Baalim out of her mouth, and they shall no more be remembered by their name'? Do you acknowledge that is most offensive to our Father and our Savriour to address them by pagan names and titles, and that many followers of Yahushua gave up their lives for publicly upholding the true names of the Father and Son? Psalms 83:18; Isaiah 42:8; Deuteronomy 32:3; Acts 4:17, 18.

The Father, Son and the Holy Spirit

I honestly believe that God gave no prerequisites to baptism in the bible other than to believe in Jesus as Lord and Christ - (faith). I think if someone's heart is called to be baptized, then a laundry list of "requirements" should not be a "condition" them from wanting to be with the Lord in this manner. The Lord calls who He calls. And the heart responds. Faith precedes works. The Holy spirit is the worker. smilies/smiley.gif

Acts 2:36-40
"Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ."
When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?"
Peter replied, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call."
With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, "Save yourselves from this corrupt generation." 41Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.

Guiding Principles for the Examination of Baptismal Candidates
Written by Cynethia Moses, January 27, 2010
I do think that given new God inspired biblical truths about the Sabbath, some of these articles especially #s 12&13 needs to be revised, and please remember that many people who will accept and come to know Christ, does not know of or want to know of the Adventist church, and were never a member or will never be a member.I for one know it is one of the fallen churches and do not want to have anything to do with it;remember Yahuwah's call to "Come out of her my people" we must come all the way out; and not hold on to her helm or any part of her, thus the reason for the call, and home churches. The Adventists might have started out in the light, but you know what?they dropped the ball ,so did many other denominations, this shows we must keep our eyes on Yahuwah through his son Yahuwahshua/Christ and no one else or we too may be left behind.God's word the Bible is enough to show us the way, especially to win new converts

Did not Philip baptise the Ethiopian, out in the middle of "nowhere" in a body of water, after he was reading the book of Isaiah,in his chariot and asked Philip to explain what it ment? There was only Philip and the Ethiopian at that baptism ACTS 8.The Ethiopian obviously (according to scripture) was told the GOOD NEWS about Jesus Yeshuah, and believed and got baptised by Philip.

wlc is now in a self-contracdiction situation and wants to mislead people who want to worship God in Spirit and in Truth. Can we say they are counterfeit?
Principle 12
Written by Simon Nantamu, January 18, 2010
Given new information that the current gregorian callendation is a violation of God's true callendation which follows the movement of the moon, I think there is need to revise principle 12 which mentions the sabbath as starting on friday evening, isnt it so?
Number 21 above.
Written by Christopher M, December 03, 2009
The SDA church doesn't even require that you believe number 21 above, only that you believe that the remenant church will have the spirit of prophecy. With all the plagerism involved, believing that Ellen G. White was an inspired prophet is difficult.

A person does make changes to his life. His well- being must be cleansed for him to be saved.
Guidelines

A person does not have to understand all of this in order to be baptized. We are commanded to be baptized after receiving God's spirit. Not after studying every one of these doctrines. These doctrines are definitely very important to study, but not necessary to be baptized.

we must have a bapism standard..
Natalie K-Item #23- This is a glaring example of preaching a false gospel
Written by Lee Gilbert, April 18, 2009
In the gospel according to John, when Jesus is talking to Nicodemus; 3:3-5 which you refer to in item #23: If you include verse 6, it explains verse 5 a little more clearly. vs 5 "Jesus answered 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
vs 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit.'"
In vs 5, being born of water is the natural birth, by and from the mother's womb. Any mother can speak of the experience of her "water breaking" signaling it is time for birth. To be born of the Spirit is to be born of God.
John 1:12,13 vs 12; "'But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name; vs 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor the will of man, but of God.'"
Results of Baptism
Written by Lee Gilbert, April 17, 2009
Matthew 3:11 "As for me,I baptize you with water for repentance,
but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals;He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. {New American Standard Bible}
We are baptized with water to show repentance of our sins, an act of obedience.
Jesus baptizes us "with the Holy Spirit and fire" by which we are sealed for God. The Holy Spirit is our seal of redemption.
Eph 1:13,14 "In Him, you also, after listening to the message of the truth, the gospel of your salvation-having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God's own possesion, to the praise of His glory."

standard baptism
Written by Natalie K, April 04, 2009
Basically, the standard baptism is by immersion. This is symbolic of burying our sins, and then rising up again clean from our sins.

God bless you!

How many times should one person be baptized?

Luke 12:50 - But I have a baptism to be baptized with
Romans 6:4 - Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death
How many times do our human nature die? Once
Eph.4:5 - One Lord, one faith, one baptism
So, there is only one baptism, performed only once. When? When one believes.
