A World Political Authority?
The timing was not coincidental. Just before the G-8 summit in L’Aquila, Italy, in mid-July, when leaders of the world’s top eight industrial nations assembled to discuss the global economic crisis, Pope Benedict XVI released an encyclical — the most authoritative papal document — in which he laments the sorry state of the world’s economy. That’s not so unusual, obviously.

But what he specifically says in the letter is very important …

Of course, please understand that there is a difference between the people of the church — and the Catholic Church as a religious and political institution. As a Christian, I deeply respect and even cherish the love and reverence that most Catholics have for Jesus Christ. But at the same time, as an institution, the Bible clearly points to the Catholic Church as a major player in end-time events.

This is what I mean: The pope writes, “To manage the global economy, to revive economies hit by the crisis, … there is urgent need of a true world political authority.”

Talking about this world authority, the pope explains that it “would need to be universally recognized and to be vested with the effective power.” In other words, power to enforce its views upon the rest of the world … power to make everyone comply!

This reminds us of the book of Revelation, doesn’t it? It warns that in the last days, world powers will use force — including economic force — to compel everyone to “worship the image of the beast” or they cannot “buy or sell” (Revelation 13:15, 17).

Can you understand why I’m excited? And why I see this papal letter as more evidence that we are nearing the end? All this makes me want to double my efforts in getting the true gospel out to the rest of the world. More reasons, too, why I’m asking you to continue supporting the work of Amazing Facts.

Real Teeth
There’s more. In the letter, Pope Benedict also suggests that there “is a strongly felt need … for a reform of the United Nations organization, and likewise of economic institutions … so that the concept of the family of nations can acquire real teeth.”

“Real teeth”? Sounds like the fourth beast in Daniel 7, which has “great iron teeth” (Daniel 7:7), or like the beasts and dragon in Revelation, because who ever heard of a beast or a dragon without “real teeth”?

Now, I ask: How could something like this ever happen without the backing of an economic and military powerhouse like the United States to help enforce that authority?

I don’t think it could. That’s precisely why the day after the G-8 summit, the pope had his first meeting with President Obama. And what did he give the president of the United States? A white, leather-bound copy of his encyclical!

Ethics?
I also found it very interesting in Pope Benedict’s encyclical when he writes, “The economy needs ethics in order to function correctly — not any ethics, but an ethics which is people-centered.”

A new economic world order based on ethics? And who do you suppose would be the most likely candidate to provide the kind of moral authority to guide those ethics? Would it really be someone other than the one who views himself (and who is viewed by millions of others) as the “Vicar of Christ” on earth?

Please keep in mind that other papal pronouncements have often mentioned “protection of the workers’ Sunday” as central to their concept of economic ethics. It all makes sense, don’t you think?

No question, this latest papal declaration, given at a time of a severe world economic downturn, should make us realize more than ever how close we are to the end.

Working with the United States and the European Union? The pope calling for a single world economic authority with “real teeth” to enforce its economic will upon the world? How much more obvious can it be?

I am even tempted to quote these words of Jesus: “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing” (Luke 4:21).

We’ll Never Keep Silent
Sad to say, not many voices are speaking out on these profound issues. Few people understand even the basics of last-day Bible prophecy. We at Amazing Facts, though, are never going to be quiet. They can threaten us with arrest; they can accuse us of “hate speech” … they can even cut off our electricity. But as long as we have breath, we will proclaim the three angels’ messages to the world, no matter how unpopular or “politically incorrect.”

If we love Jesus and our fellow man, we can do no less.

We know, ultimately, where this is all leading. Until then, while there’s still time, we plan to do all we can to reach souls with the message of salvation. People are longing to understand what is happening.

does anyone hears voices? or is it just me? its like there is a false family screaming at me slamming the door at me or laughing at me and watching every step. every movement i make something happens. and real life outside gets involved, like motorcycles, people, and there is a big bell that goes off like every 15 minutes or something. i need God to deliver me out of this world.

In Romans 13:12-14 (NIV), Paul also writes about “putting on the armor of light” (NIV). This armor is
contrasted with practicing “deeds of darkness” and gratifying “the desires of the sinful flesh.” It is
accompanied by the commands to “behave decently” and to be clothed “with the Lord Jesus Christ.” In
other words, to be properly suited up in the “armor of light,” we are to allow the Lord Jesus to live His
life through us and act like He would. So again we see righteous character traits portrayed as protective
armor in the spiritual battle.
Other passages indicate that godly character traits serve not only in a protective manner but also can play
an offensive role in the spiritual battle. In 2 Corinthians 6:3-10 Paul speaks of having “weapons of
righteousness in the right hand and in the left” (vs. 7, NIV). In the context we see how thoroughly
committed he was to having genuine righteousness characterize his life, no matter what the circumstances.
This included the traits of purity, patience, kindness, endurance, sacrifice, sincere love, and truthful
speech. Through this means Paul was able to maintain his credibility and fend off his attackers.
Later in chapter 10 he speaks again of the “weapons” we fight with in the spiritual battle, stating that they
have “divine power” to demolish demonic strongholds as well as every argument and phony substitute set
in place to usurp the true knowledge of God (vss. 4-5; NIV). It is very probable that he is referring back to
the “weapons of righteousness” that he mentioned in chapter 6. He also points out that these weapons are
not only effective in battling the strongholds we encounter in the lives of others but also in sanctifying the
thoughts of our own minds.
Christian soldiers must exercise consistent, daily discipline in keeping their “weapons of righteousness”
in good operating condition just as soldiers fighting in the physical realm do. They must also maintain
their strength by drawing daily sustenance from the Word of God and keep the lines of communication
with their “Commander in Chief” open.

Let's not look only for the knowledge to understand God's word better, for we know it contains a lot that even very intelligent people cannot understand or decipher. Let us include our beloved ones, friends, relatives - everyone, even those who burn down houses, steal and other bullies; they are the ones who need most of the help. I admit I'm not really even good to introducing God's word to other people, but I'm trying my best to save other people's soul out of the oven even if needs for me to be a "freak", someone crazy being too fanatic or judgmental to other people's perspective. I'm glad to know the Lord; my Life became simpler and simpler as time goes by, as I came to know more of His goodness, as I came to realize Jesus' perpetual love and as the Judgment of all is soon. May god's wisdom, grace and presence be with us ALL! God bless....

The WLC Team stated above that "It is the prayer of the Team that discussions between members will be undertaken in a Christ-like manner, with utmost respect and tolerance to opposing views."

The part in a Christ-like manner, is good but the part "tolerance to opposing views." is what is wrong with the christian comunity today. We are to follow The Messiah and not have opposing views or tolerance towards those that change the truth. there is a great falling away prophesied to come about in the end time of which we see in most churches under the banner of the christian religion. One scripture in II Th. 2:3, states; "Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition," These and other scriptures warn of this great Apostasy, but sincere Christians today fail to understand that this Apostasy is of the Christian faith that many will fall away while believing they are still worshipping the true Messiah.

The main point is that it's very important to understand that Jesus did not come preaching His own gospel, nor did He change anything He received from the Father. If He had He would have become an unfaithful servant and could not have been the Messiah and our savior.

We need to understand that it is not about religion but more about the importance of the first oracles of the original Church of God. Jesus stated that we can't receive salvation by any means except through Him, but we find many other methods being presented as salvation to the people today by way of religion. We must realize that Satan has not ceased at all in his quest to destroy the gospel of Jesus our savior. This Apostasy grows on fertile ground because many Churches today seem to want to preach "feel good sermons" alone and forget about Satan's goals.

In regards to your statement about longsuffering and humility for Christians: I seem to recall Jesus overturning the tables of money-changers because they were corrupting God's temple. Jesus came previously in order to fulfill a mission, and so He did not resist being beaten and crucified, but when He returns (hopefully soon), it's my understanding that He's not coming in passive humility as He did before. Why do you suppose Mr. Benovan? With all due respect, I think you're a little off base about having the "same freedom to murder your neighbor" now as before! We've always had this freedom of choice to perpetrate evil against one another, and this likely won't change till all the tares are uprooted. I think some people have a misconception of what it is to be "Christian". Christians have a right and duty to speak out against evil, and we even have a right and duty to FIGHT against it! Many Christians fought against the tyranny of Hitler, but the enemies of today are much more covert and clandestine in their approach to control the entire world. Yes, television can be one of those mind-numbing evils that condition people, and I personally dropped mine in the river several years ago, however that does not change the fact that we are in a war against oppression and tyranny. The beast will not just dissolve by pretending that it's not there, and as someone stated earlier: "having one's head in the sand" doesn't make it go away either!

Just so you can enlighten me my friend. I would like to ask you how did building #7 come down? Since it was not hit by a plane and it had a very small fire burning at the time it collapsed. Remember that day on 9/11? Please I beg you give a logical explanation how it came dowm! There is only one logical explanation, and we both know what that is. I will not lie.

This is the sort of unloving attitude I am referring to. Do you claim to be a Christian and speak to people in that tone? The evil doers were the terrorists that hijacked airplanes and used them as weapons against us. Conspiracy theory nuts like to think other things of course, but that's because they are paranoid and full of bitter resentment towards the wrong people. Four planes were hijacked by terrorists from other countries that hate our system. I am a Christian in the sense that I agree with the biblical Jesus when it comes to attitude in the spirit. The spirit of love is the way. As far as my religion is concerned, I was raised a Jew. My beliefs on other matters are my own. I reserve that right too. Thank you for belittling me and my intelligence, and insulting me. I humbly offer my other cheek.
