It is an undeniable truth that home churches are an integral part of not only spiritual growth but also of grounding people with thus saith the Lord. The time is now where all of our churches need to go back to the basics, and encourage members to establish home churches. The advent of home churches brings into fruition mature christians that will stand the test of time. - Jabu Mapumulo

Home churches essential nowdays

I think it is so essential to form home churches as most churches do not really say anything about revelation - even at these times ! And people can be closer and care for other members more readily. - Christine Shao

worship and fellowship

worship is 24 hours while fellowship is sometimes.

fellowship means "where two or three are gathered, i will be in their midst" yet, can two walk together except they agree? one has to be careful with the kind of people we fellowship with these days, for what has light got to do with darkness? yet it is good to felowship in small groups of like-minded christians.

worship means "i will never leave you nor forsake you, i will be with you always even unto the end of time."

thanks for a great article, i really learnt a lot - donald francis

Re- The home church.

One thing i discovered about churches today is that as soon as they become large, there is tendency for the leaders to become complacent and enter into the comfort zone. Thus allowing a crack in the church and eventual entrance of Satan and his doctrine. Which leads to apostasy. So my support goes to small units of believers coming together for fellowship. - james babajide aboge

What's to prevent the same sins that reared it's head in traditional church from rearing it's head in home churc? Also, Jesus went to the synagogue on sabbath as was the custom. - paula peters

Where I fellowship

Hello,I just want to say that, the Church that I fellowship at is in fact a real church. Although services are held in a home, we have over 100 members, and we hold services just like the big churches do. The difference between our church and a big church is that the Holy Spirit is free to move any way He wants to. Matter of fact, I don't see the Holy Spirit move in to many big churches anymore because the pastor's focus is not on God, It's on what they can get out of the congragation. We are tax exempt, and we are taught the uncompromising word of God. Yes, at times our Pastor may call upon one of the young people to read a scripture because he wants them to be taught just like the adults. I'm not a Bible scholar, but I have not read anywhere in the Bible where the children were sepreated when Jesus was preaching. When I used to attend a big church, I did not learn how to have a personal relationship with Jesus. All I learned was who was sleeping with who and what the latest fashion trend was. I thank God every day for leading me to where I am now.:)P.S. Thank you Franco for your comment because that's what it's really all about. And he,(Jesus) said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, not man for the sabbath: Mark 2:27 - Bernadette Penn

Bible says the Apostles were going from house to house eating their meal with gladness. Home church brings fellowship to the grass root, whereby allowing everyone around to enjoy a true fellowship with one another and to have a sweet communion with God.
Also, it enhance individual leadership ability, since not everybody who has the opportunity to play a leading roll in the Bigger Church - OLAWALE ARIJE
