Answer: Most people who call themselves Christians believe those things, so it is only natural that you should ask. We believe that all people are judged on the basis of whether or not they have transgressed against the ten commandments, for sin is the transgression of the law (1 John 3:4). We do not believe in original sin, that God punishes people for the mistakes of their fathers. We believe that Jesus died on the cross and was resurrected, because the Bible tells us so (Matthew 28:6,7, et al.). We believe that Muslims err, when they say that Jesus did not die. But his death did not atone for the sins of the world as Protestants believe. The atonement has been taking place through Jesus’ intercession before God in the heavenly sanctuary since 1844, according to Daniel 8:14.
