Relationship of the Son to the Father

What did Christ say about His relationship to His Father?

If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I. John 14: 28
The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do. John 5: 19
I can of mine own self do nothingbecause I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. John 5: 30

How did Christ regard His Father?

And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God. John 17: 3
Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and [to] my God, and your God. John 20: 17
Christ said in John 10: 30 "I and [my] Father are one." The Apostle Paul also stated in Philippians 2: 6 "Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God." In what manner was Christ one with the Father?
This Saviour was the brightness of His Father's glory and the express image of His person. He possessed divine majesty, perfection, and excellence. He was equal with God. "It pleased the Father that in him should all fullness dwell (Col. 1:19). . . . {AG 160.2" />
Christ, the Word, the only begotten of God, was one with the eternal Father--one in nature, in character, in purpose--the only being that could enter into all the counsels and purposes of God. {PP 34.1}

Conclusion: Christ was one with the Father in nature, character, and purpose. But did not regard Himself as an equal to His Father. God invested in Christ every authority and made Him equal.
