  • It supplies a printable Luni-Solar calendar with corresponding Gregorian dates.
  • It provides a printable Gregorian calendar with corresponding Luni-Solar dates.
  • It allows calculation of either the Luni-Solar calendar or the Gregorian calendar into the future or the past with the Creator's Sabbaths marked on both calendars.
  • The percentage of illumination is provided as well as times for sunrise, sunset, moonrise and moonset.
  • It provides accurate astronomical information of both the sun and the moon for your specific location.

alt

Now that the Luni-Solar Calendar Application is installed, this is the first screen that should pop-up. Please enter the name of your city and State or Country. You may also enter in your address to be very specific; you might even be able to see your house! Then click ENTER. For our example, we entered Jakarta, Indonesia.

alt

This is the next window that will pop-up. You should see the little marker on the map for the location that you entered! Make sure that this is the right place. Here we see the marker on Jakarta. The light grey line indicates the direction that you should look to see where the moon will rise. The dark grey line shows where the moon will set. The time Slider will show the location of the moon as it moves throughout the sky by a thin light grey line (small red arrows are on top of the line in the screen-shot). The line moves with the time. You may also select different types of maps (Satellite, Hybrid, or Terrain). At the top you will see Gregorian and Luni-Solar tabs. Please click on the Gregorian tab next.

alt

After you click on the Gregorian Tab, you should see something similar to this page; with the Gregorian month at the top and the year. You will also see the days of the week, Sunday - Saturday. On the calendar, the large dates are the Gregorian dates of the month. (1) The small dates are the Luni-Solar dates. (2) New Moon Day is light yellow and (3) Sabbaths are blue (not shown - Feast Days are a light blue). (4) The current date's number is blue and the selected day is glowing white (which, in this example, are the same day). Now please click on the Luni-Solar tab.  Note: Luni-Solar Calendar Guide will not display calendar data prior to 1601 AD.

alt

After you click on the Luni-Solar tab, you should see something like this! At the top is the (1) current Lunation and the year. To go forward a month, click on the >, to go backward <. To go forward a year, click the », backward «. Directly to the right is the (2) Metonic Cycle, with the current place in the cycle highlighted. (3) Notice the days of the week are now labeled 1st Day - Sabbath (NOT the same as the Gregorian week!) Now, (4) the large numbers are the Luni-Solar dates and (5) the small dates are the Gregorian dates. New Moon Day, Sabbaths, and Feast Days are the same colors as on the Gregorian view. (6) Here you will find the Dawn and Dusk times (or Astronomical Twilight times),

the rise and set times of the sun and moon, and the moon's illumination for any given time.  Use the slider to change the times for any given date.  There are complete explanations for each value in the actual application for those seeking a deeper understanding of the mechanics of the application. (7) You also have 4 links in the top right corner.

You have the following options:

  • Print: Print up to 99 months in a row!

  • Learn: Read vital information about every aspect of the Luni-Solar Calendar, Feast Days, and Lunar Observation!

  • Settings: Allows you to change the way the time and date are displayed.

  • About: Production, Copyright, and Legal information

The best way to get familiar with the application is to simply use it! Great! Now you can know in advance when the New Moons, Sabbaths, and Feast Days will be!* We pray this is a blessing and Praise Yahuwah!

*Disclaimer: While every precaution has been taken to ensure the greatest possible accuracy, we must stress that this Luni-Solar Calendar Application is a GUIDE. It is not intended to be a substitute for prayerful study and careful observation.

Thank You! In HIS Service and Care, --The WLC Team
