JAIPUR, India, Nov. 2 (UPI) -- Firefighters battled an Indian oil depot blaze for a fifth day Monday and officials said the death toll from the fire rose to 11.
India's Petroleum Ministry said two more explosion shook the site in Jaipur Sunday night as barrels of lubricants exploded, ANI reported.
All the patients and medical personnel at a nearby government hospital were evacuated, as were 10 hostels for engineering and medical students. Firefighters continued to fight the blaze Monday. The Indian Oil Corp. said it will take at least 15 to 18 months to rebuild the facility.
Indian Petroleum Minister Murli Deora has ordered an investigation to determine the cause of the fire, ANI said.
