I was reading on your site a piece called WHY WE CANNOT WORK WITH CORNERSTONE PUBLISHING and I am wondering how the name ADVENTIST is dishonoring to God? Please help me to understand this.
A church fails Him when it refuses to fulfill the mission for which it was founded. When this happens, then the sacred name that has been given her, loses all of its value. This happened with ancient Israel. Their God-given name [Israel] became worthless when they betrayed and crucified His Son. Isaiah has prophesized that His people in these last days, i.e., the Seventh-day Adventist Church, will turn the name given to them into a curse by their apostasy. "And ye shall leave your name for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another name" (Isaiah 55:15).
This fateful denouncement by our loving Father did not come lightly. It came after the deliberate rejection of the Seventh-day Adventist Church to His repeated pleas for repentance. "I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts; A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick; Which remain among the graves, and lodge in the monuments, which eat swine's flesh, and broth of abominable things is in their vessels; Which say, Stand by thyself, come not near to me; for I am holier than thou. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burneth all the day. Behold, it is written before me: I will not keep silence, but will recompense, even recompense into their bosom, Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom" (Isaiah 65:1-7).
The record of sins committed by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, which has provoked the anger of our loving Father is overwhelmingly massive. Any SDA who would be honest at heart, upon examining the evidence we have published in For SDAs Only, can not help but concede that His Spirit has long forsaken the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Now is the time for His people inside this fallen church to heed His call and to "come out of her" in obedience to His command in Revelation 18 to get ready for the imminent Latter Rain experience.
