Mary??? Written by Abdullah Cuenca, July 28, 2010
I know that the bible is only using the male names for the genealogy. But you know and i know you already read it, that the genealogy of Jesus Christ that you can read in Matthew and Mark are both end up to Joseph's name. Is it that you mean that one of this Joseph is the father of Marry? Eighther the Joseph in Mathew or thre Joseph in Mark is the father of Marry?.... Pls explain this because i didn't see this in the bible... I know you are aware of the warning from your srcriptures if you add any writings there.... I know you do all your best but sorry to tell you I am not satisfy with your answer... Maybe it is just a childlike approach to you...but sory to tell you that your answer sounds like illogic for me...

Response to Abdullah Cuenca Written by Fred Myers, July 27, 2010
In most of the comments about our Holy Bible coming from Islam, is the stereotype criticism almost word for word like yours, bringing a very JUVENILE (not with childlike faith) approach. For almost every 'apparent contradiction' in the scriptures there is a reasonable explanation when taken in light of other texts. The particular instance which you mention can be explained in that one is the genealogy of Joseph, the other of Mary the mother of YAHUSHUA. The writers were making sure that the 2 branches of the family tree were shown as springing from the same root of David.
It takes a sincere and prayerful approach with a teachable mind to benefit from the sacred scriptures. 1 Corinthians 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. In His love and service WLC Team |

contradiction Written by Abdullah Cuenca, July 25, 2010
As a Muslim i believe that there was books that Allah has revealed to His people...but not this scripture that we call now the Bible.... The reason is; there are some contradiction that we can found in the book... If the authors was inspired by the only one spirit that comes from Allah; why we can see contradictions inside of this book?
As a christian before i want to belive all what is written in the Bible....but there such an intances, that when i have to believe what is written in this particular book,it will appear that it is imposible to believe in the other book because it is totally contradicting to each other.... like for example: The genealogy of Jesus Christ that is written in the Gospel of Matthew And Mark... Which book will i prefer to believe??? As you are a Christian, i ask you that same question.... |
