In light of this monumental increase in the consumption of medicine, a recent study in the predicted that the next generation will have a life span 5 years younger than their parents.

One may allege that our overall health is improving. But this is not due to medicine but to having better hygiene and sanitation, thus preventing the deadly infectious diseases that were common decades ago.

More astoundingly, according to the Boston Globe, 15 to 20 percent of medical diagnoses are wrong; half or more of these incorrect diagnoses result in serious injury or death. Over a quarter of all radiological tests, including CAT scans and MRIs, are also misread. "This should raise the question: Is there another way by which I can gain back my health?"
