Revelation Unfolds How Soon the End of the World will be A study of Revelation chapter 17 reveals that the second coming of Christ will be in years rather than decades because between now and the end of the world remains only one more pope. This pope will be an evil angel impersonating John Paul II. This ‘pseudo-resurrection’ will catapult the world into earth’s final events.
The Bible contains prophecies to build our faith in the fact that it is the word of the omniscient God. Out of every five verses in the Bible one is a prophecy. For instance, there are more than 125 prophecies on the first coming of Christ. These were specific and detailed, yet each was fulfilled in the life of Christ in His first advent.
In prophecy our Lord speaks of His second coming with conspicuous clarity. He also warns of the dangerous deceptions preceding the second coming.
World’s Last Chance affirms that the prophecy which most clearly reveals the nearness of the second coming is that of Revelation 17. This chapter in the Bible reveals that there remains but one last pope before the second coming of Christ. This next and last pope will be an evil angel impersonating the deceased Pope John Paul II. The impersonation will be so perfect that the only way of uncovering it will be through the Bible.
According our interpretation of Revelation 17, the evil angel impersonating John Paul II will use the papacy and the to impose universal Sunday laws that go against God’s fourth commandment to keep the Sabbath holy. And all who remain faithful to God’s law will be deprived of basic rights such as buying and selling.
Although the Bible warns that no man can know the ‘day and hour’ of Christ’s second coming, we are instructed and required to know when it is near through studying the signs God revealed in His word. Christ enjoins His followers to watch for the nearness of His second coming; He will come as a thief to all who are not watching. To overlook or slight these signs will be as fatal for us as it was for those who were lost in the flood at the time of Noah.
