What 99% of Christians Do Not Understand About

“Living Under Grace”

World's Last Chance, released a video explaining the biblical truth about “living under grace”: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EmExj6-cses .

The video unveils the truth behind the ubiquitous belief that “living under grace” liberates a Christian from obeying the law. It provides a biblical definition of what grace really is. Whilst also explaining Romans 6:16, “For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.”

This topic is urgent; it’s Satan’s ultimate desire for you to believe that grace has abolished God’s law. Or that it is of no consequence what you believe as long as you believe in Jesus. The Bible disagrees with both of these notions.

Obedience to God’s law will never save. However the law plays an integral role in pointing out what sin is thus creating the need for Christ, our Saviour. The fruit of accepting this invitation is living in obedience to God’s laws.

The conditions of eternal life, under grace, are just what they were in the beginning in Eden - perfect harmony with God through conformity to His law.

The standard of character presented in the Old Testament is the same that is presented in the New Testament. And God has made provision to attain to this standard by beholding Jesus and becoming like Him.

Law and grace are as closely knit together as Christ is to the cross. As it is the law that triggers the need for grace.

Jesus said “if you love me keep my commandments.” And seeing that He and the Father are one then the Ten Commandments are also Jesus' Commandments.

Just think - if God could have cancelled His law then Jesus would never have needed suffer death on the cross in place of humanity’s transgression of God’s law.

Have a blessed and wonderful day!

Ten commandments rejected
written by Colin Bowater, July 27, 2009
I know this is July already, but here's my 2 bobs worth!!
Keep the chin up Simon, I had a similar experience back in 2005 when I sent out a laminated Ten Commandments sheet to some friends & rellies, which wasn't received very well. In fact my own older brother (a staunch Anglican) took it apart, particularly with the 4th Comm., saying he didn't think God would be too pernickety about which day we had as a Sabbath!!
Mainstream Christians just don't get it!!

Hello Simon,

Thank you for posting your comment and for sharing your point of view. I totally agree with you in that it is sad to see how people so readily excuse their obligation or accountability to the law with grace. They lose the whole essence of why Jesus came and died for us by doing so.

Now, in relation to your last question, I am sure that the Lord will judge fairly and in our best interest, after all, He wants us to go to heaven more than we want to go smilies/smiley.gif It is not our business to wonder how He will go about doing so, we should just trust Him and do our best to make sure that we have asked for forgiveness from all our sins. If we have this attitude, and apply it daily, we have nothing to worry about as long as we trust in Him.

God bless you!

In His love and service,

This is the most common objection I get to The Ten Commandments...........Grace!
written by Simon White, April 17, 2009
smilies/cry.gifWhen I share my Faith/Beliefs/The Gospel with others most christians give the excuse that 'Grace' did away with 'The Law'...the aetheists & agnostics do not raise that(for obvious reasons?).
It really is peculiar that when you quote the words of Jesus on this subject that most christians will refuse to accept the literal meaning & begin to explain 'their/others' interpretations that justify them in doing what they want to do or what the majority do?
When I was in The Salvation Army I gave as a gift to the citadel & the captains two hand calligraphied copies(framed in glass) of The Ten Commandments.......& it did not go down well....with one captain apologetically explaining to the congregation that "most people believe they were done away with".That was when I first started to open my eyes as to what I had gotten in to & soon got myself out of.
When I challenge a christian about The Sabbath for example, they quickly point out that Jesus was Lord of The Sabbath-which confuses me as to what point they are trying to make? The last church I went to was a Baptist church whose minister was a converted Jew & as I left his church we exchanged several e-mails concluding in his admission that The Sabbath was still Saturday but you can still find him preaching on Sunday. If he changed days,he would no doubt lose his 'flock'?He suggested I do my thing on Saturday & worship with them on Sunday........at which I was horrified.
Every day on satellite tv, people are taught false truths-just believe on Jesus, etc. It is difficult to believe we all have the same Holy Bible?
My belief is that most christians are still under The Spirit of rebellion & automatically reject The Law because they know it brings accountability & that is not convienent to them? My life would be easier if I just fitted in with the majority & went to church on Sunday-but what profit a man to gain the whole world but lose his soul?
In my discussions with people under Grace & not The Law....it reminds me of Acts ch 7 verse 57-"Then they cried out with a loud voice,& stopped their ears,& ran upon him with one accord".They all sing from the same hymn book-a closed mind.......... but do not be discouraged because eventually a seed will grow.....although we might not be aware of it.I plant seeds & leave the rest to God but I am going to have fun along that journey & enjoy it because God did not give us a timid Spirit!
Pray for guidance/words & opportunities to witness but do not go into battle without The Sword of the Spirit or open your mouth if you do not know what you are talking about......that weakens your Faith & does more harm to The Gospel than good.
I am very happy to have The Good news smilies/grin.gif but it is odd to share that with others & see an unhappy face smilies/sad.gif ??
Lastly, commonsense tells me if I am going against 'The Majority' then I must be heading in the right direction as 'many are decieved' & 'broad is the gate that leads to destruction'-not a view held by 'the gracers'who seem to believe everyone will be in Heaven without true repentance or observing The Ten Commandments. It is a paradox,I cannot get in to Heaven by my own deeds, the only way is through Faith in Jesus Christ & in returning his Love I will follow The Law......yet still having flesh I know I will fail on some point or other-As Paul said I try to do good but do evil instead.I disagree with christians who say that "now we have The Holy Spirit,we shall be able to resist all temptation,etc"...Theoretically possible but in a fallen world & body I think it unlikely........but if anyone can put a case for it,be my guest,I am open to correction.
As I see it we are a work in progress, conforming ourselves to Jesus Christ every day/week/year-taking up our cross daily. The Law does serve to remind me that I am a sinner & need a Saviour - but to suggest to people who want to please God by keeping The Law,that if they break it(eg, a little lie or steal something tiny?),that they do not truly have Gods Holy Spirit or forgiveness seems to be leaning towards the Pharrises/legalism/Sadduces/satan/religion?It is down that road that many travel to the gates of hell, unnecessarily.
The question that occurs to me is.....if we do not sincerely repent daily for any transgressions of The Law & then die in sin(before repentance) does God give us a just sentence based on that sin or on the blood sacrifice(substitution)of Jesus Christ? God is not a liar & said all liars will go to the lake of fire? My Faith is strong but sometimes some issues leave me perplexed.
I will look forward to other comments on this important topic smilies/wink.gif
