The truth is there is no Biblical Christians mentioned in the New Testamant who obeyed, practiced, and performed Sabbatical Laws. If anyone wants to subject himself, let him do it but not a selective sabbath saturday observance only. Remember, the Day of Attonement was always celebrated on the 10th day of the 7th month. It was biblically declared a Sabbath Rest, and do not always fall on the 7th day. Sabbath day is a day of rest and work is prohibited (Lev 23:26)

What is the punishment to those who disobey? Exo 35:2 Whoever does any work on sabbath Day must be put to death.

I've been in the same situation several times, and thought about the same problem. We take comfort in the promise of the resurrection when out loved ones die, but somehow feel perplexed about our other created friends. The Bible passage that has enlightened me most in this regard is the following:
(Rom 8:22) For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
(Rom 8:23) And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
It certainly sounds to me like the redemption is not for human beings alone, but the whole creation. We shall doubtless be surprised and overjoyed at what we find renewed in the earth made new.

Our family just lost a dear companion, our Lab Where in the Bible can I find relief from the pain to share with my family so they may know we will meet again?

I also do I know that the Lord Jesus came and said he did not come to do away with the Law but he added to the Law. We get instruction from the Ten Commandments “I am the Lord thy God, thou shalt have no other god’s before me. Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD your God in vain. Remember the Sabbath Day and Keep it Holy,” it is not your day it is God’s day. “Honour your Father and your Mother. These commandments apply both naturally and spiritually, thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not commit adultery, thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not bear false witness. Thou shalt not covet. We have some experience with the Commandments on one side of the scale, and yet when it comes to keeping those Commandments totally, we do not know how to do it. The Lord said in His Word that if we offend in one point, you are guilty of all. We cannot stone someone else for being guilty of breaking one Commandment if we are guilty of breaking another. I believe with all of my heart we cannot take the Old Testament away from the New Testament. They go hand in hand and cannot be separated. We need to be obedient to the whole Word of God. After all Jesus is the Word, and He came and tabernacled amongst us. He was there before the very foundation of the World and was slain before the foundation of the World. There are many, many hidden truths in the Word of God. The Lord said He would hide it from the wise and the prudent and give it to the babes. There is a wealth of wonderful studies and truths in the Old Testament Tabernacle. If you study this, you will find out just how Jesus was there and how the Blood availed and OH’ there is so much, much more. But we really have to study the word and ask the Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth. So many of us think we know it all. But David we don’t. We do not study the word and we lend our ears out as these BIG baskets and catch all the rubish and negative things we should not; and this only sets in confusion and the Lord is not god of confusion; but, the Word tells us to go and test the spirit and see where they are from and if it is the truth of the Word. So when we study the Word of God, in 1John 1:27 it tells us that the anointing that we received from the Lord abides in us permanently and you need not have man instruct us but that Spirit will teach and lead us into all truth and there will not be any falsehood in what the Spirit of the Lord teaches us. So we must be rooted in Him and abide in Him and never depart from Him and His Word, just as His Anointing has taught us. I have seen and heard so many people come with so many different doctrines of the Word, but please take it to the Lord go and examine the Word and see if it be true and I promise u the Lord and the Holy Spirit will always lead you into All truth. Even you’re Pastor and I am not saying he teaches you wrongly or falsely but we have to even go and examine the Word he brings us on Sundays.

Be very careful how you go about giving advice by twisting the scriptures, which is very evident to me in tour post.

The 10 commandments are NOT suggestions given to us to be manipulated to fit our personal ideas - they represent the very character of our Creator and Redeemer Who gives them as our compass, mirrors and guidelines as He sanctifies us.

The 7th day Sabbath was miraculously confirmed as the 7th day of the week over 2000 times in succession when our Creator supplied Manna for 6 days and none on the 7th, during the 40 year sojourn in the wilderness.

Many calendars have changed since then, but the successive days of the week have never been changed.
Unless it can be shown that the Jews as a nation were unconscious and totally isolated from all human contact during which time they lost count of the days of the week, there can be no claim that their current calendar is incorrect.

Whatever Paul said in any of his Epistles, must be interpreted in light of the specific commands of Christ.
Note carefully-
Before the cross - Mat.23:2,3 - MOSES' SEAT and ALL WHATSOEVER it represents MUST include the original 7th day Sabbath.
After the cross - Mat.28:19,20 - ALL WHATSOEVER teach to ALL NATIONS (JEWS and GENTILES) Must also include the original 7th day Sabbath.

His commandment to 'REMEMBER' and 'KEEP' it 'HOLY' is because He had already MADE it HOLY. That cannot be transferred to any other day by any human means.

As a warning to all who dare to profane His HOLY things - remember the cases of Nadab and Abihu Leviticus 10:1
And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the LORD, which he commanded them not.
7. Numbers 3:4
And Nadab and Abihu died before the LORD, when they offered strange fire before the LORD, in the wilderness of Sinai,

Belshazzar King of Babylon suffered the same fate after polluting the Holy utensils Dan. 5.

Also the cases of Simon, and Annanias and Saphira in the New Testament.

The same Creator says 'I change not'.

He did not just appoint us 'A' Sabbath day - he specially blessed 'THE' SABBATH DAY which is the 7th Day of each calendar week.

Sounds LEGALISTIC ? yes His Law of LOVE and LIBERTY remains a highly LEGAL matter - He is the highest JUDGE of all the Universe - yet He is also our loving ADVOCATE!

Why would they save a sheep on the Sabbath? A sheep is valuable to its master in the natural because it produces wool. And, ultimately it gives life for the sustenance of his master’s house.
Matt 12:12
He said “Doth God make provision to get natural sheep out of the pit on the Sabbath Day if it has fallen in? So, the Sabbath Day can bless the sheep by getting it up out of the pit. The Sabbath Day is for getting you up out of the pit and for your master giving you food, giving you drink, giving you water. The Sabbath Day is for healing, the Sabbath day is for making you whole, the Sabbath Day is for feeding you and giving you drink. That is what you should come to the house of the Lord for. Get up out of what ever pit you find yourself in and get the food and the drink your father has for you in the house of God. Then learn to give it all back to the Lord and become food and drink for some one else.
Remember the Sabbath Day and keep it Holy. You can keep the eighth day or the seventh day, depends on where you start counting from, but it can be your seventh day. God did not say keep “SATURDAY”. First of all, Saturday belongs to the Julian calendar, and when God wrote the Law there was not even a calendar around at that time. It is the principle of the matter, if you have to work six days then you should WORK! God did not say, if you want to work six days, he said, “thou shalt”. Remember the Sabbath Day. “Paul said in Colossians, whatever day you keep, that can be your Seventh day. Keep it Holy unto the LORD. It is a principle: work six days and keep the seventh Holy unto the LORD. Suppose it is not a church day, well then get out your notes and your tapes get out your bible and get down on your face and get before the Lord your God and make a Sabbath Day out of it. Sabbath simply means Holy unto the Lord.
We have to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12)
Let it work for you. Remember to make one day a week your Sabbath Day. The Lord never said Sunday or Saturday. So if you have to work on a Saturday or a Sunday work out your day and make it your Sabbath as long as you keep that day your Sabbath. Because it is a principle to come before the Lord and rest and get fed so you can feed others.
He said if you do right by me on the Sabbath Day, I promise you that I will work the delight of my Son in you then I will take you to the top of the mountain and I will do for you accordingly. Because the LORD said we are to delight ourselves in the LORD always, and then the Son (Jesus Christ) will open a way down here for us. Philippians 2:13 says, “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and do his good pleasure. In other words, it is God who will put the delight of His Son in you. So if you do right by the LORD on the Sabbath Day He will work the delight of His Son in you.
So it is important to keep a Sabbath Day it is a principle of God to keep one, but you work out which day will be your seventh or your eighth Sabbath Day! And the Lord will bless u for it. Hope this helped a little Sherrill.
