Introduction: The Mistake of Wishing to Hear Father Yahuwah’s Voice

Many religious people today think that having faith would be easy if Father Yahuwah spoke out loud from the sky. We look at Abraham, a famous man of great faith, and make excuses for our own doubts. We assume Abraham had perfect confidence because he heard the actual, physical voice of Father Yahuwah in the desert. We tell ourselves that if Father Yahuwah spoke to us that clearly, we would instantly obey Him, move to a strange land, and give up whatever He asked without hesitation.

However, this way of thinking is completely wrong. It is a mistake to excuse our lack of faith by claiming we have a disadvantage. Father Yahuwah did not speak to the ancient leaders all the time. More importantly, this excuse undervalues the incredible gift of the Bible.

The truth is that Father Yahuwah is not silent today. He is speaking to us constantly and clearly through the Scriptures. When we look at the history and depth of the written Word, the Bible is actually a more powerful and reliable guide than the rare spoken messages Abraham received. We are not less fortunate than Abraham; instead, we have a massive amount of truth that Abraham could only dream of seeing.

How Father Yahuwah Spoke to Abraham: Rare and Spread Out

To understand why the written Bible is so powerful, we must look closely at how Abraham actually experienced Father Yahuwah. When we read Abraham’s story in the Bible, it feels like a fast-moving movie. It seems like Father Yahuwah and Abraham talked every single day.

However, the real history was very different. Abraham’s story lasted for over 100 years, but the Bible only records a few short times when Father Yahuwah actually spoke to him. Decades of complete silence passed between these moments.

Consider these massive gaps in time:

The first call: Father Yahuwah told Abraham to leave his country. Abraham obeyed and moved his entire family based on just this one message.

Years of silence: After Abraham moved, traveled to Egypt, and split up from his nephew Lot, years went by before Father Yahuwah spoke to him again in a vision.

The 13-year wait: Abraham waited 13 years in total silence between the birth of his first son, Ishmael, and the time Father Yahuwah spoke to him again to renew His promise.

For more than ten years at a time, Abraham had to survive famines, protect his family, and keep his faith alive using only his memory of a voice he heard years before.

He could not open a Bible every morning to comfort his heart.

He had no written book to look at during long, quiet nights.

Abraham’s faith was amazing because he had very little information to go on. He was walking through life with just a few scattered moments of guidance. When we complain that Father Yahuwah does not speak to us out loud, we forget that Abraham spent most of his life in deep silence, relying entirely on a memory.

Why the Written Bible Is Better: Permanent, Solid, and Real

A spoken voice in the desert is temporary and easily forgotten. In contrast, the Bible is a permanent, physical reality that we can hold today. Spoken words fade from memory, making us question what we actually heard weeks later. Written words never change.

The Apostle Peter discussed this directly in the Bible. Peter actually saw and heard one of the most amazing miracles in history—the Transfiguration of Yahushua. He wrote:

“We were not making up clever stories when we told you about the powerful return of our Master Yahushua. We saw his greatness with our own eyes! He received honor and glory from Father Yahuwah the Father. A voice came from the majestic glory of heaven, saying, ‘This is my dearly loved Son, and I am fully pleased with him.’ We heard this voice from heaven ourselves when we were with him on that holy mountain.” (2 Peter 1:16-18)

“We have also A MORE SURE WORD OF PROPHECY; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place . . . For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of Yahuwah spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” (2 Peter 1:19-21)

Peter had every right to argue that hearing Father Yahuwah’s physical voice is the ultimate way to build strong faith. Yet, look at the surprising point he makes next:

“Because of that experience, we have even greater confidence in the message proclaimed by the prophets. You must pay close attention to what they wrote, for their words are like a light shining in a dark place…” (2 Peter 1:19)

Older translations say it even more clearly: “We have a more sure word.” Peter explicitly states that the written Bible is even more reliable than his own experience of hearing Father Yahuwah speak from heaven.

There are two major reasons why the written Bible is more reliable than a voice from heaven:

It is safe from human weakness: Spoken words rely on human memory, changing emotions, and personal interpretation. Minutes after a voice stops, the human mind starts to doubt. We ask ourselves: Did I hear that right? Was it just the wind? Did I imagine it?

It acts like an unchangeable legal contract: The written Bible exists completely outside of our own minds. It is solid and unchangeable. It does not change based on our feelings, what we eat, or how much sleep we got. We can read it, test it, and study it every single day.

Father Yahuwah shifted His main way of talking to us from spoken words to written text for a specific reason: writing preserves truth perfectly. When we open the Bible, we are listening to a voice locked safely in ink. It has been preserved for thousands of years so that its message remains perfectly clear and completely uncorrupted by time.

The Power of Seeing the Whole Story: Knowing the End from the Beginning

The Bible is powerful not just because it is written down, but because it is completely finished. Abraham was given a single seed; we have been given the entire forest. Abraham had to figure out an unfolding mystery; we have the full, clear picture.

When Father Yahuwah spoke to Abraham, He only gave him tiny pieces of a massive puzzle. Abraham was told his descendants would be as numerous as the stars, and that his family would bless the whole world. But Abraham did not know how this would happen.

He never saw the Israelites escape Egypt.

He never read the books of the prophets.

He did not know the name of Yahushua.

He did not understand how a Savior would die on the cross to pay for sins.

The Book of Hebrews explains this limitation of the ancient leaders:

“All these people died still believing what Father Yahuwah had promised them. They did not receive what was promised, but they saw it from a distance and were glad. They admitted that they were foreigners and strangers here on earth.” (Hebrews 11:13)

Abraham had a forward-looking faith that had to look through a thick fog. He trusted Father Yahuwah’s character without knowing the full plan.

We, however, live in a time where the plan is finished. The fog is completely gone. Through the Bible, we have the amazing privilege of looking backward to see exactly how Father Yahuwah kept every single promise He made to Abraham.

We see how the nation of Israel was formed.

We see how ancient laws pointed to a coming Savior.

We see the exact history of the Savior’s arrival, death, and resurrection.

Father Yahuwah’s message to us today is actually much more powerful because it comes with historical proof. Every time we read the New Testament, we can see how it explains the Old Testament. It is like hearing Father Yahuwah say, “Look at what I promised Abraham, and look at how I perfectly made it happen.”

To say we cannot have strong faith without hearing a physical voice is wrong. We possess the entire blueprint of Father Yahuwah’s plan, while Abraham only had a single brick. Because we can see the whole story so clearly, our confidence should be much stronger than the faith required at the very beginning of history.

The Living Power of the Written Word

We must stop thinking that the Bible is just an old history book. It is not a cold record of what Father Yahuwah used to say to better people thousands of years ago. Instead, the Bible describes itself as a living, active, and powerful force that Father Yahuwah uses to speak directly to our hearts today.

The Book of Hebrews explains this:

“For the word of Father Yahuwah is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.” (Hebrews 4:12)

The original language uses a word for “powerful” that means energetic and active. The written Bible is filled with the living energy of the Holy Spirit. It is not an ancient museum object; it is a sharp tool that goes deep into our hearts.

When Abraham heard Father Yahuwah’s spoken voice, it challenged where he lived and who he trusted. But when we read the Bible today, it does something even bigger: it examines our deepest thoughts, corrects our hidden motives, changes how we see the world, and shows us exactly how Father Yahuwah thinks.

The Apostle Paul also reminded his helper, Timothy, that the Bible gives us everything we could ever need:

“All Scripture is inspired by Father Yahuwah and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. Father Yahuwah uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Notice what the written text does for us: it makes us fully prepared and completely equipped.

If hearing a physical voice from heaven were required to build strong faith, Paul would have told Timothy to go look for mystical experiences. Instead, he told Timothy to trust the written Scriptures completely. The Bible contains everything needed to help a believer grow up spiritually. It lacks nothing, and it does not need extra whispers from the clouds to prove its power.

The Hidden Danger of Wishing to Hear Father Yahuwah’s Voice

Wanting to hear Father Yahuwah’s actual, physical voice often comes from a form of spiritual laziness. We think that if we saw or heard a physical miracle, our doubts would instantly disappear and obeying Father Yahuwah would be easy. However, the history in the Bible proves this is not true. Human beings are fully capable of hearing the literal, thunderous voice of Father Yahuwah and still staying stubborn, rebellious, and full of doubt.

Yahushua explicitly says that the written Bible has far greater power to change people than the most shocking supernatural miracle you can imagine. (See Luke 16:31.)

Consider the ancient Israelites who stood at the bottom of Mount Sinai. They did not just hear a quiet whisper at night. Instead, an entire nation experienced a terrifying, loud message from heaven:

“All the people witnessed the thunder and lightning, the sound of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking. When they saw this, they trembled with fear and stood at a distance. They said to Moses, ‘Speak to us yourself, and we will listen. But do not let Father Yahuwah speak to us directly, or we will die.'” (Exodus 20:18-19)

They heard the actual voice of Father Yahuwah giving the Ten Commandments from a dark cloud. The message was perfectly clear. There was absolutely zero doubt about who was speaking or what He said.

Yet, what happened after this overwhelming experience? Within just 40 days, those exact same people melted down their gold earrings, made an idol of a golden calf, and started worshiping a fake Father Yahuwah. Hearing the physical voice of Father Yahuwah did not change their hearts, and it did not give them lasting faith. They still doubted Father Yahuwah’s goodness, complained about their food, and ultimately died in the desert because they refused to believe.

Yahushua exposed this big human flaw in his story about the Rich Man and Lazarus. While suffering in the afterlife, the rich man begs Abraham to send a dead man named Lazarus back to earth to warn his living brothers. The rich man used the same logic we use today: “If someone rises from the dead and goes to them, they will change their ways!” He believed a spectacular, undeniable miracle would destroy their bad attitudes.

Look at Abraham’s final answer:

“Abraham said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.'” (Luke 16:31)

In those days, “Moses and the prophets” meant the written Scriptures. Yahushua explicitly says that the written Bible has far greater power to change people than the most shocking supernatural miracle you can imagine. If a person can read the Bible and remain unbothered, an audible voice from heaven or a ghost from the afterlife will not fix their doubts. The problem is never a lack of clear communication from Father Yahuwah; the problem is the stubbornness of the human heart.

Conclusion: Living Out Abraham’s Faith Today

Our excuses are gone, and our wrong way of thinking is shattered. We can no longer look at Abraham’s faith as something impossible for us to reach. The plain truth of the Bible is that we are the ones with the massive advantage.

Abraham walked by the dim light of just a few spoken promises. We, however, walk in the bright midday sun of a complete Bible. Our Bible is proven by history, fulfilled perfectly by Yahushua, and filled with the life-giving energy of the Holy Spirit. Father Yahuwah is speaking to us right now. His voice is not quiet, uncertain, or far away. It is loud, clear, and powerful, echoing from every single page of the book we so easily ignore.

To match the strong faith of Abraham, we must stop waiting for a physical voice from heaven. Instead, we must deeply respect the voice already captured in the written Word. We must stop treating the Bible like an old history schoolbook. We must treat it as the living, active, and powerful voice of our Heavenly Father talking directly to our souls.

When we read His commands, we must obey them just as fast as Abraham did when he left his home country.

When we read His promises, we must rest in them with the same total confidence that Abraham had when he looked up at the stars.

The Father has spoken; He is still speaking, and His Word lasts forever. Let us put away our excuses, open the Bible, listen to its perfectly clear message, and live out our faith. We can walk forward with absolute confidence, knowing that the living Father Yahuwah has spoken directly to us.
