The Great Confusion Between Reaching an Orbital Trajectory and Proving the Cosmic Model
SpaceX wants us to look upward and accept the story.
A giant rocket rises from Texas.
Thirty-three engines roar.
The vehicle climbs through the atmosphere.
It reaches extraordinary altitude.
It accelerates to extraordinary speed.
Cameras show Earth below.
Telemetry streams across computer screens.
And then comes the declaration:
“Starship reached orbit.”
But what exactly does that sentence mean?
More importantly:
What does it actually prove?
We are not denying that Starship flies. We are not denying that its engines work. We are not denying that SpaceX has developed remarkable rocket technology. We are challenging something much more specific: the assumption that Starship’s flight proves the cosmology used to interpret that flight.
|
WLC believes the public has been encouraged to confuse three very different things:
- A rocket reaching extreme altitude;
- A rocket following a trajectory that engineers classify as orbital;
- Proof that Earth is a rotating globe surrounded by an infinite vacuum.
These are not the same proposition.
And once that distinction is made, the phrase “Starship reached orbit” becomes much less impressive as a cosmological argument.
We are not denying that Starship flies.
We are not denying that its engines work.
We are not denying that SpaceX has developed remarkable rocket technology.
We are challenging something much more specific:
the assumption that Starship’s flight proves the cosmology used to interpret that flight.
That is where the real battle begins.
THE CLAIM: “STARSHIP REACHED ORBIT”
The statement is not fabricated.
NASA itself reported after Starship’s third integrated flight test on March 14, 2024:
“The spacecraft reached its expected orbit.”
NASA also reported that Starship completed its full-duration ascent burn.
So WLC must be precise.
We should not falsely claim that NASA never said Starship reached orbit.
NASA did say it.
But now comes the question NASA’s statement does not answer:
What does “orbit” mean?
Under conventional orbital mechanics, orbit means a trajectory in which an object travels around a massive body while its velocity and gravitational acceleration produce a sustained orbital path.
That is a mathematical description within the conventional Earth model.
It is not a photograph.
It is not something the word “orbit” magically proves.
It is an interpretation of motion.
And that distinction is enormous.
POINT ONE: “IT WENT VERY HIGH”
Yes.
But altitude is not orbit.
A rocket can rise vertically to tremendous altitude and fall back.
A projectile can travel thousands of kilometers and return.
A spacecraft can climb above most of the atmosphere and subsequently re-enter.
None of those facts, by themselves, establishes an orbit.
Indeed, SpaceX’s own later flight descriptions repeatedly demonstrate the distinction.
For Starship Flight 12, SpaceX stated that the vehicle achieved its planned trajectory, conducted payload demonstrations during coast, re-entered Earth’s atmosphere, and ultimately splashed down in the Indian Ocean. SpaceX explicitly described the Starlink payloads as being on the same suborbital trajectory as Starship.
Flight 13 likewise achieved its planned velocity and trajectory, deployed satellites, performed an engine relight demonstration, then re-entered the atmosphere and splashed down in the Indian Ocean.
So let us establish the first principle:
Going high does not equal orbiting.
POINT TWO: “IT ACHIEVED ORBITAL VELOCITY”
This sounds definitive.
The precision of a calculation does not automatically prove every foundational assumption behind the calculation.A model can predict an object’s trajectory extremely well, but the question remains: What physical reality does that model represent?
|
It isn’t.
“Orbital velocity” is not an independent cosmic substance.
It is a calculated velocity associated with a particular gravitational model.
Under the conventional model, engineers calculate the velocity required for an object to remain in orbit around a spherical Earth.
The calculation can be extraordinarily precise.
But the precision of a calculation does not automatically prove every foundational assumption behind the calculation.
This is basic scientific reasoning.
A model can predict an object’s trajectory extremely well.
The question remains:
What physical reality does that model represent?
If the Earth is a globe surrounded by vacuum, the trajectory is interpreted one way.
If the Earth exists within an enclosed firmament, the same observed motion must be interpreted differently.
The measurement and the interpretation are not identical.
POINT THREE: “NASA SAID IT REACHED ORBIT”
Correct.
But notice the wording.
NASA said Starship reached its “expected orbit.”
That is a statement inside NASA’s existing aerospace framework.
It does not mean NASA independently demonstrated every philosophical and cosmological proposition associated with that framework.
NASA’s Flight Dynamics Facility performed pre-flight analysis of Starship’s reentry trajectories and supported communications during Flight 3.
This demonstrates something important:
NASA can calculate and track a trajectory.
But trajectory calculation is not synonymous with proving the ultimate geometry of creation.
That distinction is frequently overlooked.
POINT FOUR: SPACEX ITSELF STILL DESCRIBES ORBITAL CAPABILITY AS A DEVELOPMENTAL MILESTONE
Here the language becomes particularly interesting.
SpaceX’s 2026 prospectus describes major orbital-performance and reusability objectives for the next-generation Starship and says that SpaceX expects Starship to commence payload delivery to orbit in the second half of 2026 following additional flight tests.
That statement deserves careful attention.
If someone says:
“Starship reached orbit,”
and another official SpaceX document says:
“We expect Starship to commence payload delivery to orbit”
after additional flight tests, then we need to ask precisely what is meant by “reached orbit.”
The apparent contradiction disappears when we distinguish:
briefly achieving an intended orbital-class trajectory
from
operating a mature, reusable orbital transportation system capable of routine payload delivery.
Those are very different achievements.
SpaceX itself makes that distinction.
POINT FIVE: SPACEX AND NASA DISTINGUISH SUBORBITAL TESTING FROM ORBITAL OPERATIONS
SpaceX’s own Starship materials likewise distinguish the suborbital flight-test campaign from the orbital version being developed. So the public should not treat the word “orbit” as though it represents one simple binary switch: NOT ORBIT → ORBIT
|
This is even more revealing.
NASA’s Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel has described the Starship development program in terms of suborbital prototypes and the development of the orbital version required for low-Earth orbit and on-orbit operations.
SpaceX’s own Starship materials likewise distinguish the suborbital flight-test campaign from the orbital version being developed.
So the public should not treat the word “orbit” as though it represents one simple binary switch:
NOT ORBIT → ORBIT
The engineering reality is more nuanced.
There are test trajectories.
There are orbital-class trajectories.
There are orbital missions.
There are operational payload deliveries.
There are reusable orbital missions.
There are on-orbit refueling operations.
And there is the much larger promise of routine transportation.
Each requires different demonstrations.
BUT HERE IS THE DEEPER QUESTION: WHAT IS THE VEHICLE ORBITING?
This is where the firmament changes the conversation completely.
The conventional explanation begins with an assumption:
Earth is a rotating sphere suspended in an essentially infinite vacuum.
The spacecraft is then said to travel around that sphere.
But WLC begins from a different biblical cosmological framework.
Genesis describes a firmament established by Father Yahuwah, separating waters above from waters below.
And WLC understands the biblical firmament as a real, solid structure, described in Scripture in terms of something like molten glass, forming the boundary of the heavens above the Earth.
That means the question becomes fundamentally different.
If the firmament is a solid structure above the terrestrial realm, then a rocket’s upward movement does not mean that it has escaped the enclosed creation.
It means that the rocket is moving within the enormous realm beneath the firmament.
THE FIRMAMENT IS NOT “DEFEATED” BY A ROCKET
Someone may ask:
“If there is a firmament, how can Starship fly upward?”
The question itself contains an assumption that must be corrected.
The biblical firmament is not merely a poetic metaphor for “the sky.” Scripture presents it as a real structure established by Father Yahuwah.
In the biblical cosmological framework embraced by WLC, the firmament is solid—described as something like molten glass—and constitutes the boundary of the heavens above the Earth.
That changes the entire discussion.
A rocket rising from Earth does not demonstrate that it has penetrated the firmament.
It demonstrates movement within the enclosed realm beneath the firmament.
This is the crucial point.
When Starship launches from Texas and climbs to what NASA and SpaceX describe as an extraordinary altitude, the vehicle is still moving below the firmament.
|
When Starship launches from Texas and climbs to what NASA and SpaceX describe as an extraordinary altitude, the vehicle is still moving below the firmament.
It may ascend tens, hundreds, or even thousands of kilometers according to conventional altitude measurements. It may travel far beyond what is commonly called the atmosphere. It may reach a trajectory that aerospace engineers classify as “orbital.”
But none of those observations demonstrates that Starship has passed through the solid firmament.
In fact, the biblical model predicts precisely the opposite:
Earth is below.
The firmament is above.
The celestial realm is enclosed.
Therefore, the mere fact that a rocket travels upward does not constitute evidence that there is no firmament.
It simply demonstrates that there is considerable room for movement beneath it.
A ROCKET CAN TRAVEL FAR WITHOUT BREAKING THROUGH THE FIRMAMENT
Consider an aircraft.
An aircraft can climb from 10,000 feet to 40,000 feet without leaving the atmosphere.
Its enormous increase in altitude does not mean it has reached the boundary of the created heavens.
The same principle applies on a vastly greater scale to a rocket.
Starship can travel extraordinarily high while remaining beneath the firmament.
The important question is therefore not:
“Did Starship go high?”
Of course it did.
The question is:
“Did Starship penetrate the firmament?”
That is an entirely different claim.
And a rocket flying at extreme altitude does not, by itself, establish that it has done so.
THE BIBLICAL PICTURE IS AN ENCLOSED CREATION
Genesis 1:6–8 describes Father Yahuwah making the firmament and placing it between the waters above and the waters below.
Psalm 148:4 speaks of the “waters that are above the heavens.”
The biblical cosmology therefore presents something very different from the modern popular picture of an infinitely extending vacuum.
There is Earth.
There are the heavens.
There is the firmament.
And above the firmament are the waters described in Scripture.
WLC therefore does not need to reinterpret the firmament as an abstract metaphor simply because modern rockets can travel to extraordinary altitudes.
Quite the contrary.
The rocket’s ability to travel upward simply raises the question of where the firmament actually is and what its physical properties are.
The existence of a large enclosed realm beneath a boundary does not become impossible merely because the realm is large.

STARSHIP’S ASCENT IS THEREFORE NOT EVIDENCE OF FIRMAMENT PENETRATION
Orbit, as defined by modern aerospace mathematics, is not penetration. A vehicle could travel enormous distances horizontally while remaining beneath the firmament.
|
This distinction must be kept absolutely clear.
Altitude is not penetration.
Flight is not penetration.
Trajectory is not penetration.
Orbit, as defined by modern aerospace mathematics, is not penetration.
A vehicle could travel enormous distances horizontally while remaining beneath the firmament.
It could also travel along a curved trajectory.
It could disappear over the horizon.
It could communicate by radio.
It could return through the atmosphere.
None of these observations establishes that the vehicle passed through the solid structure above.
Therefore, when someone says:
“Starship proves there is no firmament because it went into space,”
the response is straightforward:
Show us the penetration.
Where is the demonstrated passage through the solid firmament?
Where is the verified breach?
Where is the physical evidence that Starship crossed the boundary separating the terrestrial realm from the waters above the heavens?
Calling the region above the atmosphere “space” does not answer those questions.
It simply uses the terminology of the conventional cosmological model.
WHAT, THEN, IS STARSHIP DOING?
From WLC’s enclosed-system perspective, Starship is traveling through the enormous realm beneath the firmament.
That movement can be real.
The altitude can be real.
The velocity can be real.
The trajectory can be real.
The telemetry can be real.
The photographs and video can be real.
And yet the cosmological interpretation placed upon those observations can still be questioned.
This is the distinction WLC wants readers to understand.
We are not required to deny the rocket in order to question the cosmology.
We simply refuse to make the rocket prove more than the evidence actually demonstrates.
THE BURDEN OF PROOF REMAINS
If the firmament is solid and forms the boundary above the terrestrial realm, then demonstrating that a rocket penetrated it would be a very different accomplishment from demonstrating that a rocket reached an enormous altitude.
If the firmament is solid and forms the boundary above the terrestrial realm, then demonstrating that a rocket penetrated it would be a very different accomplishment from demonstrating that a rocket reached an enormous altitude.
|
A rocket that remains beneath the firmament has not disproved the firmament.
A rocket that travels beneath the firmament has not escaped the enclosed creation.
And a rocket that follows what engineers call an “orbital trajectory” has not thereby demonstrated that it is traveling in an infinite vacuum beyond the firmament.
The distinction is fundamental.
Starship can fly without penetrating the firmament.
Starship can travel extraordinarily far without penetrating the firmament.
Starship can follow a calculated trajectory without penetrating the firmament.
And unless the claim is specifically demonstrated that Starship has physically penetrated the firmament, the existence of the rocket’s flight cannot legitimately be presented as proof that the firmament does not exist.
The question remains open.
And under the biblical model, the expected location of Starship is not beyond the firmament.
It is beneath it.
The rocket rises.
The firmament remains above.
The heavens remain enclosed.
And the fact that humanity can build a machine capable of traveling extraordinarily high does not give that machine the authority to rewrite Father Yahuwah’s architecture of creation.
THE GREAT ILLUSION OF THE WORD “ORBIT”
Think about what happens when someone says:
“The spacecraft is orbiting Earth.”
Most people immediately visualize a tiny ball circling a gigantic globe in black space.
But notice what has happened.
The picture has already been supplied.
The globe has already been assumed.
The vacuum has already been assumed.
The gravitational field has already been assumed.
The curvature of the trajectory has already been interpreted.
Then the audience is shown the result and told:
“See? It is orbiting.”
But that is precisely what WLC is challenging.
We are asking you to separate:
OBSERVATION
from
INTERPRETATION.
The spacecraft moved.
That is observation.
The spacecraft followed a calculated trajectory.
That can be measured.
The trajectory corresponds to a mathematical orbital model.
That is interpretation.
The interpretation proves the entire cosmological model.
That does not automatically follow.
“BUT WE CAN TRACK STARSHIP!”
Spacecraft telemetry is real. Ground stations are real. Radio communications are real. Trajectory calculations are real. None of that is disputed. But tracking tells us where the vehicle is according to the tracking framework being used.
|
Yes.
And tracking is real.
Spacecraft telemetry is real.
Ground stations are real.
Radio communications are real.
Trajectory calculations are real.
None of that is disputed.
But tracking tells us where the vehicle is according to the tracking framework being used.
It does not independently establish the metaphysical structure of the universe.
This is why WLC is not arguing against engineering.
We are arguing against cosmological overreach.
A successful engineering model does not automatically become a complete proof of the worldview surrounding it.
“BUT STARSHIP GOES AROUND THE EARTH!”
This is where the terminology needs to become extremely precise.
If Starship completes a trajectory that aerospace engineers classify as an orbit around Earth, then WLC can accurately report:
Engineers classify the trajectory as an orbit around Earth.
That is a factual statement.
But WLC should not automatically transform that into:
“Therefore the Earth is unquestionably a rotating globe enclosed in an infinite vacuum.”
That second statement contains additional assumptions.
The first statement is about a trajectory.
The second is about cosmology.
They are not identical.
WHAT STARSHIP ACTUALLY PROVES
Starship proves that SpaceX has developed an extraordinary launch system.
It demonstrates enormous thrust.
It demonstrates controlled ascent.
It demonstrates sophisticated guidance and navigation.
It demonstrates stage separation.
It demonstrates high-altitude flight.
It demonstrates atmospheric reentry technology.
It demonstrates increasingly sophisticated trajectory control.
Flight 12, for example, included a planned payload deployment demonstration, an in-space engine relight demonstration, atmospheric reentry, controlled flap guidance, and a planned splashdown.
Flight 13 similarly demonstrated payload deployment, an engine relight, atmospheric reentry, and controlled splashdown.
These are genuine engineering accomplishments.
But none of them, by themselves, settles the cosmological question.
WHAT STARSHIP DOES NOT PROVE
Starship does not independently prove that Earth is a rotating globe.
|
Starship does not independently prove:
- that Earth is a rotating globe;
- that Earth is moving through an infinite vacuum;
- that the universe is physically arranged exactly as conventional cosmology describes;
- that the firmament described in Scripture does not exist;
- or that the biblical cosmological framework has been experimentally falsified.
Those are much larger propositions.
A rocket launch is not a laboratory experiment designed to test every proposition about cosmology.
THE REAL QUESTION: WHAT IS THE VEHICLE ORBITING?
This is where the discussion must return.
Under conventional cosmology, the answer is:
Earth.
But under the enclosed-system model, the terminology itself requires examination.
If the Earth is part of an enclosed creation beneath a solid firmament, then the vehicle is not escaping the created realm and entering an infinite vacuum.
It is moving through the space beneath the firmament.
Therefore, the phrase “orbiting Earth” carries much more conceptual baggage than most people realize.
It describes the trajectory according to the conventional model.
It does not independently establish the cosmological model.
THE GREAT CONFUSION
The public has been trained to see the rocket and immediately accept the worldview.
Rocket rises.
Therefore globe.
Rocket reaches high altitude.
Therefore infinite space.
Rocket follows calculated trajectory.
Therefore orbit.
Orbit.
Therefore globe.
Globe.
Therefore firmament impossible.
But look carefully at the chain.
Each conclusion depends upon assumptions introduced along the way.
The rocket itself does not speak.
The model speaks for the rocket.
And that is precisely why WLC insists that the model must be examined.
GOING UP DOES NOT PROVE THE COSMOS
Starship is spectacular. Its engineering is spectacular. Its power is spectacular. Its ambitions are spectacular. But spectacle is not proof. A rocket can go extraordinarily high without proving the entire cosmological story attached to its flight.
|
Starship is spectacular.
Its engineering is spectacular.
Its power is spectacular.
Its ambitions are spectacular.
But spectacle is not proof.
A rocket can go extraordinarily high without proving the entire cosmological story attached to its flight.
A trajectory can be calculated without proving every assumption behind the calculation.
An object can be tracked without settling the architecture of creation.
And a spacecraft can be described as “orbiting Earth” without that phrase, by itself, proving that Earth is a rotating globe enclosed in an infinite vacuum.
So when the declaration comes:
“STARSHIP REACHED ORBIT!”
WLC says:
Slow down.
Define orbit.
Show the trajectory.
Distinguish observation from interpretation.
Distinguish a test trajectory from an operational orbital transportation system.
And above all, do not confuse aerospace terminology with proof of cosmology.
Because the real question is not whether Starship can fly.
It can.
The real question is not whether SpaceX can calculate trajectories.
It can.
The real question is not whether modern rockets can reach extraordinary altitudes.
They can.
The real question is:
WHAT IS THE CREATION THROUGH WHICH THEY ARE FLYING?
Is it the endlessly expanding, spinning, globe-in-space cosmology assumed by modern institutions?
Going up is not the same as proving the cosmos. And “orbit” is not a magic word that turns a mathematical model into an eyewitness demonstration of the universe. The heavens belong to Father Yahuwah. The firmament stands above. And the rocket remains beneath it.
|
Or is there an ordered, enclosed creation beneath the solid firmament established by Father Yahuwah?
That question cannot be answered merely by pointing at a rocket.
It requires us to examine the assumptions behind the picture.
And that is precisely what WLC intends to do.
Starship may rise.
Starship may accelerate.
Starship may follow a calculated trajectory.
Starship may even be described by NASA and SpaceX as reaching orbit.
But none of those statements give humanity permission to stop asking the bigger question.
Going up is not the same as proving the cosmos.
And “orbit” is not a magic word that turns a mathematical model into an eyewitness demonstration of the universe.
The heavens belong to Father Yahuwah.
The firmament stands above.
And the rocket remains beneath it.
A rocket launch is an engineering demonstration.
It is not a revelation of cosmology.
Let the claims be tested.
Let the assumptions be exposed.
And let truth—not technological prestige—have the final word.
ALL THE GLORY BELONGS TO FATHER YAHUWAH!
THE ROCKET RISES, THE FIRMAMENT REMAINS
They tell us:
“Starship reached orbit.”
But listen carefully.
A rocket going up
does not prove what is above it.
A rocket traveling far
does not prove it escaped the enclosed heavens.
And calling a path “orbit”
does not make a cosmology true.
Thirty-three engines awaken the night,
Fire beneath it, a pillar of light.
Steel climbs upward, thunder below,
Higher and faster we watch it go.
We do not deny what our eyes can see,
The rocket is real, its flight can be.
But one question remains when the engines ignite:
Where did it go
when it vanished from sight?
Higher is higher,
But higher is not beyond.
Speed can be measured,
A path can be drawn.
Call it a trajectory,
Call it a flight—
But names do not prove
That the model is right!
THE ROCKET RISES!
THE FIRMAMENT REMAINS!
Above the Earth,
Above the winds and rains!
THE ROCKET FLIES!
BUT WHAT HAS THAT PROVED?
That something went high!
That something has moved!
Not that Father Yahuwah’s boundary is gone,
Not that His heavens have withdrawn!
THE ROCKET RISES!
THE FIRMAMENT REMAINS!
Here is the difference.
Altitude is not penetration.
Speed is not penetration.
A calculated trajectory is not penetration.
If Starship travels thousands of kilometers
beneath the firmament…
then it is still beneath the firmament.
So show us the crossing.
Show us the breach.
Show us when the rocket passed
through the boundary above.
They give us numbers, velocity, height,
Screens full of data that follow the flight.
“Orbital speed!”
“Orbital path!”
But calculations still cannot answer the last:
Did it break through?
Did it pass beyond?
Or travel beneath what Father Yahuwah formed?
The mathematics may measure
The course that it ran—
But mathematics cannot
Rewrite Father Yahuwah’s plan!
OBSERVATION!
It moved!
INTERPRETATION!
What does that prove?
OBSERVATION!
It rose!
INTERPRETATION!
WHERE DID IT GO?
THE ROCKET RISES!
THE FIRMAMENT REMAINS!
The heavens above
Still declare Father Yahuwah’s Name!
THE ROCKET FLIES!
THE ROCKET DESCENDS!
But man’s interpretation
Is not where truth ends!
You measured the speed!
You measured the flight!
But measurement alone
Does not make the model right!
THE ROCKET RISES!
THE FIRMAMENT REMAINS!
WLC is not saying
the rocket is fake.
The engines can be real.
The altitude can be real.
The telemetry can be real.
The trajectory can be real.
And still…
the interpretation can be questioned.
The rocket does not tell you
what the universe is.
The model does.
So test the model.
Genesis speaks of waters above,
The firmament fashioned by Father Yahuwah’s love.
Earth lies beneath it, the heavens enclosed,
A boundary established, a structure imposed.
So let Starship thunder!
Let Starship ascend!
Let engines burn fiercely
Again and again!
Its height does not tell us
The firmament is gone—
A rocket beneath it
Can travel far on!
GOING UP
IS NOT GOING THROUGH!
GOING FAR
DOES NOT PROVE!
SPEED IS SPEED!
HEIGHT IS HEIGHT!
A MODEL MUST STILL
BE TESTED FOR TRUTH!
THE ROCKET RISES!
THE FIRMAMENT REMAINS!
Let fire fill the heavens!
Let thunder shake the plains!
STARSHIP MAY RISE!
STARSHIP MAY FLY!
But that does not prove
What lies beyond the sky!
The vehicle moves!
The trajectory bends!
But evidence stops
Where interpretation begins!
THE ROCKET RISES!
THE FIRMAMENT REMAINS!
Father Yahuwah established
The heavens by His Name!
Starship went up.
We agree.
Starship traveled far.
We agree.
Engineers call its trajectory orbital.
We understand.
But did Starship prove
that Father Yahuwah’s firmament does not exist?
No rocket’s altitude
can answer that question.
The rocket rises…
The firmament remains.
The rocket travels…
The firmament remains.
LET THE CLAIMS BE TESTED!
LET THE ASSUMPTIONS BE EXPOSED!
THE ROCKET MAY RISE—
BUT FATHER YAHUWAH ALONE
ESTABLISHED THE HEAVENS!
ALL THE GLORY
BELONGS TO FATHER YAHUWAH!
