Why does WLC not change the year count in the Fall, at the beginning of the Jewish civil year?

Question: Why does WLC not change the year count in the Fall, at the beginning of the Jewish civil year?

Answer: While popular theology teaches that the Biblical [Hebrew] year count changes in the Fall, WLC believes that this is not Scriptural and is based on the teachings and traditions of men. In keeping with the divine command, WLC (and consequently the Luni-Solar Calendar Application) will change the year count in the Spring, on the 1st day of the 1st lunation [Abib 1].

"This month [Abib] shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you."
(Exodus 12:2, KJV)
