Sincere-hearted people, actively looking for new truth, have sometimes been drawn into the Christian Identity movement. Because of their search for truth, many have been led to see the error of a triune godhead (The Bible makes plain that Yahushua, while born of a virgin, is a human being - not a diety.), and the beauty of the Creator’s sacred name. Appalled and alarmed by the actions of the world’s powerful political elite, the message of the Christian Identity has appeal.
Despite the truths which many Christian Identity advocates hold, their beliefs are intermingled with error that keeps them from understanding full truth. Following are some of the errors found in Christian Identity:
- The belief that Satan (or the serpent) seduced Eve, producing Cain, is a clear contradiction of Scripture which states: “And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from Yahuwah.” (Genesis 4:1) The word here translated “knew” is used repeatedly throughout Scripture to refer to sexual relations between a man and a woman.
Truth will never contradict Scripture, so any doctrine based on a false assumption or a twisting of Scripture will likewise be incorrect.
- The doctrine that only the white race descended from Adam while all other races descended from a different race that antedated Adam, contradicts the Holy Bible which clearly states: “Elohim created man in his own image, in the image of Elohim created he him; male and female created he them.” (Genesis 1:27) The creation of the human race, mankind, is here described, including both “male and female.” Moses did not lack the word for “white.” If only the white race were being referred to, he would have said so. Rather, all races and nations are descended from Adam, the first man.
This is affirmed in the New Testament. When Paul preached to the Greek on Mars Hill, he referred to descent of all nations from one person by stating: “Eloah . . . made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; . . . And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation . . . .” (Acts 17:24 and 26)
- The Battle of Armageddon is much larger and far reaching than a race war. When Scripture is allowed to be it’s own interpreter, the truth becomes clear: Armageddon is over worship, not a battle between different races of people.
- The belief that certain races are inferior to other races is a concept not supported by the inspired word of Yahuwah. In fact, just the opposite is true. In his letter to the Galatians, Paul instructs them that they are to make no distinction among fellow believers:
For ye are all the children of Yah by faith in the anointed, Yahushua. For as many of you as have been baptized into Yahushua have put on Yahushua. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in the anointed, Yahushua. And if ye be Yahushua's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.” (Galatians 3:26-29)
Yahushua died to save all races: "For Thou wast slain, and didst purchase for Yahuwah with Thy blood men from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. And thou hast made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God; and they will reign upon the earth" (Revelation 5:9-10).
Yahuwah is inviting His children of the Christian Identity groups to lay aside all assumptions that are not founded solely upon His Holy Word. By laying aside error and embracing truth they will be led to the One who has the answer to all life’s problems.
