Oneness Pentacostalism

Oneness Pentecostals have very high moral standards.  They are committed to living their lives in conformity to the divine will and seek to glorify Yahuwah by purity of life.  They dress modestly and are careful what they put into their minds via movies and entertainment, understanding that the mind is not to be corrupted by dwelling upon sin.  Most importantly, they realize that obedience to the divine law comes as the result of salvation; it is not the works done in order to obtain salvation.

Oneness Pentecostals have many truths, but not all of their beliefs are free of error.  Following are some of the errors still held by these sincere believers.

• One great truth held by Oneness Pentecostals that sets them apart from almost all of Christendom is their denial of the Trinity.  Recognizing this pernicious doctrine for the pagan belief that it is, Oneness Pentecostals agree with the word of Yah that, “Yahuwah our Eloah is one!”  (Deuteronomy 6:4)  The error enters when Oneness Pentecostals attempt to explain the nature of the Holy Spirit and the Son of Yahuwah.
  
  Oneness Pentecostals teach that Yahuwah, Yahushua and the Holy Spirit are all modes or different manifestations of one being: "God was manifested as the Father in creation, the Son in redemption, and the Holy Ghost in emanation."  This is contrary to Scripture.  The word translated “Holy Spirit” is rûwach (#7307) which simply means breath or exhalation.  Worse, though, is the claim that the Father and the Son are one and the same being, just different manifestations.  The problem is two-fold:

  1.  It contradicts Scripture, which repeatedly refers to Yahushua as the only begotten Son of the Father.  “Behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.”  (See Matthew 17:1-6; Matthew 3:17.)  For Matthew to repeatedly report of the Father’s voice coming from Heaven, calling Yahushua His “Son” if, indeed, they are one and the same, is deception by prevarication.  This is impossible for Scripture states that it “is impossible for Eloah to lie.”  (See Hebrews 6:18.)

  2.  Such a belief destroys the very real, very personal sacrifice the Father made when He provided His own Son, His only begotten Son to save sinners.  Thus, His purpose in revealing the depth of His love for sinners is defeated by lessening the immense sacrifice as, any parent knows, the sacrifice of oneself is less painful than the sacrifice of one’s child.
  
  Scripture clearly separates Father from Son when, referring to the future end of sin, it states: “Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that Eloah may be all in all.”  (1 Corinthians 15:28)  The Bible makes plain that Yahushua, while born of a virgin, is a human being - not a diety.

• Oneness Pentecostals understand the importance of living in compliance with Yahuwah’s law, “For sin is the transgression of the law.”  (1 John 3:4)  But they break that law by worshipping on Sunday, the first day of the pagan/papal Gregorian week.  Nowhere does Scripture authorize a change of worship day from the seventh day of the Biblical week on the luni-solar calendar of Creation, to the first day of the pope’s solar calendar.

• Oneness Pentecostals understand the pagan origins of Santa Claus and the Easter bunny, and avoid including them in their celebrations of the birth, death and resurrection of the Saviour.  However, Christmas and Easter are themselves rooted and grounded in paganism and their observance dishonors the very one they seek to honor.  Only Heaven's holy days, the holy convocations listed in Leviticus 23, are to be observed as “a statute forever.”  (Leviticus 23:14)  For “what concord hath Yahushua with Belial?  Or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?”  (2 Corinthians 6:15)

Yahuwah loves these sincere Christians and calls them to lay aside those errors that keep them from true oneness with Him in holy living.
