Yahushua Vs. Pope Francis: Who will you believe?

Pope Francis claims to be the infallible representative of Yahushua. A careful examination of his statements, compared with Scripture, reveals a character, a lifestyle, and a theology that is the very antithesis of the Saviour.

A TED Talk? Seriously? Popes don’t give TED Talks!

And yet that is precisely what Pope Francis did in April of 2017. The speech, apparently recorded in his apartment in Vatican City, was a good one, albeit rather typical of a geo-religio-political figure. It was a call to work together, to build a future inclusive of all.

 

The climax of the speech came near the end when the pope declared: “Please, allow me to say it loud and clear: the more powerful you are, the more your actions will have an impact on people, the more responsible you are to act humbly. If you don’t, your power will ruin you, and you will ruin the other.”

Immediately, people who watch the pope began speculating: Was there a hidden message in the pope’s speech? Most people are not “powerful.” Was he sending a message to the Illuminati?  To the elite of the world? Why was he admonishing them to act humbly? Yahushua’s message was always to be holy, not just act holy. It is sheer hypocrisy to merely act a certain way, rather than be that way.

Whether the pontiff was sending a hidden message in his TED talk or not is, of course, impossible to determine. However, it is always wise to carefully analyze anything said by such an influential person, particularly if that person presumes to represent the Saviour.

Globalism’s Impact on Christianity

The thing all should remember is that the pope has a global* agenda. In a very real sense, he is a "globalist." His agenda, hidden from the world’s masses, is to promote himself as a world religious leader. This paves the way so when the trumpets begin to sound and demons, in the form of aliens, overrun the earth, he will be the only logical choice to be mankind’s representative in negotiations with the demons/aliens. "Globalism" also furthers the Holy See’s agenda of promoting Roman Catholicism above all other religions, because "globalism" does not allow for individuality.

"Globalism" is the opposite of nationalism. Nationalism is the belief that individual, sovereign nations benefit from acting independently, rather than in corroboration with other countries. Nationalism is no longer politically correct. Instead, "globalism" is the agenda of the day.

It is true that modern technology has made the world a much smaller place. However, "globalism" is not the answer. "Globalism" brings pressure to bear upon the individual to conform. Those who, for whatever reason, refuse to conform, will either be forced to do so, or be slated for annihilation.

As far back as 1991, former Jesuit Malachi Martin, wrote a book warning of the battle then-underway for the control of the world. This seminal work was entitled The Keys of This Blood: Pope John Paul II Versus Russia and the West for the Control of the New World Order. In it, Martin prophetically warned that nationalist, religious, and all other individualistic groups,

Are destined to undergo a series of severe shocks and mutations as, willy-nilly, they adapt themselves to the new globalism emanating from more powerful groups. There is no way that any one of them will be able to maintain itself in any vibrancy and progressive strength unless it allows — or suffers — its provincialism to be enlarged beyond the confines it traditionally observed . . . As groups they will have to face dire alternatives. Either they will become thoroughly and realistically globalized . . . Or, as groups, they will remain in place, diminish in numbers and influence, and finally lose their identity as operative parts in a new world order.¹

Today, over 25 year later, it is possible to see in reality what Martin could then only prophesy. Knowing, then, the pope’s long-term goal for worldwide dominance, it is extremely important to understand his beliefs and theology. This article will compare Pope Francis (his statements, lifestyle and beliefs) with those of Yahushua.

Yahushua vs. Francis: He said/he said

The first and most obvious contradiction between the actions of the papacy and the teachings of Yahushua is the Holy See’s drive for worldwide dominance. By contrast, Yahushua told Pilate: “My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.” (John 18:36, KJV)

This acknowledgment that the Saviour’s kingdom was not an earthly one, is the very opposite of the papacy’s drive to dominate on earth. But it’s not the only difference. Consider the following quotes by both the pope and Yahushua.

ABC News reported that during Pope Francis’s September, 2015, trip to New York City, he claimed Yahushua’s death ended in failure: “The cross shows us a different way of measuring success. Ours is to plant the seeds. God sees to the fruits of our labors. And if at times our efforts and works seem to fail and not produce fruit, we need to remember that we are followers of Jesus Christ and his life, humanly speaking, ended in failure, the failure of the cross.”²

Even read in context, such words are startling, even to Catholics! Furthermore, this statement contradicts Yahushua’s own words recorded in Matthew: “ Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed unto the chief priests and unto the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify him: and the third day he shall rise again.” (Matthew 20:18-19, KJV)

Yahushua knew His earthly ministry would climax at Calvary. Furthermore, He knew the Father would raise Him again the third day. This was not a statement of discouragement or failure! Rather, it was one of victory, because He knew He had faithfully fulfilled all that His Father had sent Him to do!

Pope Francis rejected the Biblical account of Creation when he told the Pontifical Academy of Sciences:

The theories of evolution and the Big Bang are real and God is not a magician with a magic wand. When we read about Creation in Genesis, we run the risk of imagining God was a magician, with a magic wand able to do everything. But that is not so.

 

The Big Bang, which today we hold to be the origin of the world, does not contradict the intervention of the divine creator but, rather, requires it. Evolution in nature is not inconsistent with the notion of creation, because evolution requires the creation of beings that evolve.³

Creation scientist, Ken Ham, of Answers in Genesis, observed:

In this instance, Pope Francis, like so many other religious leaders, is putting man’s word above God’s Word. And not only that, he’s also going so far as to say that only a magician with “a magic wand” could create the way that God said He created in Genesis! Frankly, this shows a lack of understanding of who Scripture claims God is—the all-powerful Creator who is capable of doing what is impossible to man. Sadly, this view of God is rapidly spreading even throughout the Protestant church.⁴

A few months after becoming pope, Francis gave a sermon in St. Peter’s Square in which he denied that Yahushua’s miracle of the loaves and fishes was, in actuality, a true miracle. Instead, he suggested, that it occurred simply because people shared what they had. As transcribed on the Vatican website, he said: “This is the miracle: rather than a multiplication it is a sharing, inspired by faith and prayer. Everyone eats and some is left over: it is the sign of Jesus, the Bread of God for humanity.”⁵

Barely a year later in a sermon preached in Christ the Redeemer Square in Bolivia, Pope Francis expounded on this same theme, suggesting that the miracle was one of changing people’s hearts to share what they already had in their possession.

Again quoting the Vatican website, he asserted:

What [Jesus] does can be summed up in three words. He takes a little bread and some fish, he blesses them and then gives them to his disciples to share with the crowd. And this is how the miracle takes place. It is not magic or sorcery. With these three gestures, Jesus is able to turn a mentality which discards others into a mindset of communion, a mindset of community.  . . . Jesus generated a kind of electrical current among his followers, as they shared what they had, made it a gift for others, and so ate their fill. Unbelievably, there were even leftovers: enough to fill seven baskets. A memory which is taken, a memory which is blessed and a memory which is given, always satisfies people’s hunger.⁶

In January of 2015, Pope Francis gave an interview in which he said that Catholics should practice “responsible parenthood” and not “be like rabbits.”⁷ Protestants have long advocated responsible parenthood and criticized Catholics and Mormons for their traditional refusal to use birth control. Most Protestants would, so far, agree with the pope’s statements. But he went further. “Speaking of a woman he knows who was pregnant with her eighth child after having the first seven by C-section, he said he had ‘rebuked’ her, saying, ‘But do you want to leave seven orphans? That is to tempt God!’”⁸

Say what? A Catholic woman who has always been told she shouldn’t use artificial birth control, is tempting Yahuwah when she has so many children? Tempting Him to do what? To kill some of her babies? To kill her in childbirth? This is sick!

Scripture declares: “Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of Yahuwah: for Yah cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man.” (James 1:13, KJV)

It may seem quibbling to fault Pope Francis for these statements, but politicians—and make no mistake: that is precisely what he is—are well versed in public speaking. They are very aware that statements they make publically carry weight. And, remember, the pope claims to be the vicar of Christ!

A recurrent theme in Yahushua’s teachings was that the heavenly Father loves each one individually as His own child, and that each person can go to both the Father and the Son. In John 16:27, He taught: “The Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from Yah.” (NKJV) According to Pope Francis, however, a personal relationship with Yahushua, outside the oversight of the church, is “dangerous and harmful.” On June 25, 2014, the pope declared:

There is no do-it-yourself in the church; no freelancers. . . . Sometimes you may hear someone say, ‘I believe in God, in Jesus, but the church, I don’t care.’ How many times have we heard this? This is wrong.

 

There are those who believe you can have a personal, direct and immediate relationship with Jesus Christ outside of the communion and mediation of the church. These temptations are dangerous and harmful. They are, in the words of the great Pope Paul VI, ‘Absurd dichotomies.’ It’s true that journeying together is challenging, and sometimes it can be tiring. . . . But the Lord entrusted His message to humans all of us as witnesses; and in our brothers and sisters, with their gifts and limits, who come to us and make themselves known. This means belonging to the church.⁹

In January of 2015, Pope Francis denounced the Muslim attack on the Parisian offices of Charlie Hebdo, an attack that killed 12 people. However, he went further. In a comment that seemed to condone violence, he asserted that there are limits to free speech, stating:

“If Dr. Gasbarri, a great friend, says a swear word against my mother, then a punch awaits him,” Francis said, referring to Alberto Gasbarri, a man who organizes papal trips and was then standing next to him on the plane. “It’s normal, it’s normal. One cannot provoke, one cannot insult other people’s faith, one cannot make fun of faith.”¹⁰

Another exchange combined a suggestion of violence with an outright admission of dishonesty.

When he was a bishop in Argentina, Francis said Monday, a couple of suspicious men offered $400,000 to his poor neighborhood — but only if the church first made a significant deposit with them.

 

“In that moment I thought about what I would do: Either I insult them and give them a kick where the sun doesn’t shine or I play the fool.”

 

Francis said he played the fool, telling the men that his office didn’t have a bank account, and the men would have to check with the church’s financial experts in the chancery. The pope said he later wondered if he let them off too easy, allowing them to take advantage of others.¹¹

This is the very opposite of the principles taught by Yahushua, who stated: “Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.” (Matthew 5:38-39, KJV)

One of the most startling of the pope’s statements was made on May 12, 2014, in a homily on acceptance. Recalling Peter’s acceptance of gentile believers and how shocking that was to the believers of that generation, Pope Francis said that he would baptize aliens.

“If, for example, tomorrow an expedition of Martians came to us here and one said ‘I want to be baptised!’, what would happen?”

 

Clarifying that he really was talking about aliens, the Pope said: “Martians, right? Green, with long noses and big ears, like in children’s drawings.”

 

While Francis appears to have taken the argument to its logical extreme, this is not the first time that the Vatican has raised the prospect of baptising extra-terrestrial beings. Speaking at the British Science Festival in 2010, one of then-Pope Benedict XVI’s astronomers said he would baptise (sic) an alien “if they asked”.¹²

The Pope’s baffling statements have left even Catholics confused as to his beliefs and where he stands on principle. John-Henry Westin, a Roman Catholic and co-founder and editor of LifeSiteNews.com, has repeatedly reported on the various statements the pope has made that have left Catholics in confusion. He says:

There is massive confusion in the Church about where exactly the Pope stands on the matter. Even though a thorough assessment clearly shows the Pope backing communion for divorced and remarried Catholics, there are cardinals and bishops who suggest the Pope means the opposite.

 

For those who knew Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio prior to his election to the pontificate, this is nothing new. I spoke to a few priests from Buenos Aires who worked with Cardinal Bergoglio in different capacities and from them learned that confusion is emblematic of his ministry. One anecdote in particular was very instructive. I was told that people from opposite camps would both come out of meetings with Cardinal Bergoglio believing he supported their position. “He’s with us but can’t say so publicly,” they would relate, as would those who met with him from the opposing camp.¹³

Francis, the Jesuit

With all of this confusion, with all of the contradictions, it is necessary to look at what Jesuits believe in order to find out what the pope really believes. Remember, Pope Francis is the very first Jesuit pope in history. Jesuit policy has always been to work in secret, behind the scenes. Jesuits are responsible for some of the most heinous acts in history. It is beyond the scope of this article to list every error in their theology. Suffice it to say, there are two points in particular that are especially blasphemous that Jesuits (and Catholics in general) teach. Francis, as both Jesuit and a Catholic pope, believes and supports these doctrines as well.

The first is the pope’s claim to be able to absolve someone of his or her sins. Such a doctrine is not only blasphemous but ridiculous. Only Yahushua can remove sin. John the Baptist introduced the Saviour to the watching crowds by declaring: “Behold the Lamb of Yah that taketh away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29)

Yahushua Himself said: “For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son.” (John 5:22, KJV) Prerogative to forgive is fully committed into the hands of the Saviour who “was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.” (Hebrews 4:15, KJV)

Scripture, however, denies papal claims to forgive sin. The pope cannot absolve anyone, including himself, of sin for “the blood of Yahushua the Annointed His Son cleanseth us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7) Furthermore, popes have long claimed to be infallible. Again, in direct contradiction of Scripture which declares: “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” (1 John 1:8, KJV)

Referring to Yahushua’s parable of casting out demons, demonstrating the need for vigilance in the Christian walk, Pope Francis declared: “The Gospel today begins with the devil being cast out and ends with the devil coming back! During the Fifth Lateran Council of 1512, Christopher Marcellus told Pope Julius II: “Take care that we lose not that salvation, that life and breath which thou hast given us, for thou art our shepherd, thou art our physician, thou art our governor, thou art our husbandman, thou art finally another God on earth.”¹⁴ Speaking of this blasphemous statement, Alexander Hislop observed: “Now if there were nothing to condemn the Pope but this, that he has allowed such blasphemous names to be bestowed upon him, this of itself would stamp him with guilt of the deepest dye.”¹⁵ The Gloss of Extravagantes of Pope John XXII,goes so far as to use the phrase, “Our Lord God the pope.”^{16, 17}

Pope Francis has never repudiated such titles despite the fact that Yahushua taught: “But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even the Annointed; and all ye are brethren. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.” (Matthew 23:8 & 9)

The pope also encourages believers to pray to Mary. Catholics refer to Mary as “Mediatrix” and have even gone so far as to refer to her as “Co-Redemptrix”—titles which, again, the pope has never corrected. On May 12, 2017, Pope Francis prayed at the Chapel of the Apparitions at the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima, in Portugal. His prayer opened with the words: “Hail Holy Queen, Blessed Virgin of Fatima, Lady of Immaculate Heart, our refuge and our way to God!” He closed by intoning: “In your Immaculate Heart,
be the refuge of sinners and the way that leads to God.”¹⁸

This directly contradicts the words of Yahushua, who said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6, KJV) Pope Francis has also said: “Being a Christian means belonging to the church.”¹⁹ Yahushua declared: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28, KJV) He did not say: “Come to the church and ye shall find rest for your souls.” And He could have. There was an established church in His day.

The statements of Pope Francis that contradict the words of Yahushua go on, and on, and on.

During a homily in Rome last May, Francis said that God redeems everyone — not just Christians, but atheists, as well.

 

“We must meet one another doing good,” the pope said. To those who say: ” ‘But I don’t believe, Father, I am an atheist!’ ” the pope said, “But do good: We will meet one another there.”²⁰

Yahushua would not agree with the pope. In His Sermon on the Mount, the Saviour declared: “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14, KJV) In light of the pope’s statement, it is significant to note that Yahushua’s very next words contained the warning:

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. (Matthew 7:15-20, KJV)

This, then, begs the question: What are the fruits of Pope Francis’s life?

Fruits of Pope Francis

Within just a few weeks of being elected as pope, the pontiff visited a prison in which he washed—and kissed—the feet of convicted criminals, several of whom were Muslim. Sounds very . . . Christlike. Right?

Strange, though, that the number of individuals for whom he performed this service numbered 12 (the exact same number of disciples Yahushua had), and there just happened to be photographers ready and waiting to make a photographic record of the pope’s act of self-negating piety.

The Catholic Church does not, as a rule, practice the ordinance of foot washing. For the pope to do so in such a public manner, photos of which made all the news wire services, smacks more of an ostentatious display than any genuine desire to minister to others.

It was against such showy displays that Yahushua taught the importance of doing service to others in a humble, private manner, saying:

Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

 

Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

 

But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth:

 

That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. (Matthew 6:1-4, KJV)

On Wednesday, May 24, 2017, the U.S. President and First Lady, Donald and Melania Trump, met with Pope Francis.

It could have caused a diplomatic incident but a culinary quip from Pope Francis seemed to have gone down well with Donald Trump and his wife Melania.

 

In one of the lighter moments of his meeting with the US president at the Vatican on Wednesday, Francis made an apparent allusion to Trump's imposing physical size.

 

"What do you feed him on? Potica?" Francis asked Melania, in a reference to a calorie-laden cake that comes from her native Slovenia and is pronounced "potteezza".²¹

The portly pope’s joke aside, his own self-indulgent diet is in stark contrast to the self-control exercised by the Saviour. The Vatican Cookbook, released in 2016, “reveals that the Buenos Aires-born pontiff’s favourite foods include Argentinian empanadas, sirloin steak and dulce de leche,”²² a very rich, creamy, caramel sauce made from sweetened, reduced milk.

In fact, the pope’s predilection for rich, self-indulgent foods is quite well-known. In an interview given to Mexican television station, Televista, two years after becoming pope, the “holy father” said, “he did ‘not mind’ being Pope, but longed for anonymity. ‘The only thing I would like is to go out one day, without being recognised, and go to a pizzeria for a pizza,’ he said.”²³

Shortly thereafter during a papal visit to Naples, pizzeria owner, Enzo Cacialli, who had heard of the pope’s lament, hand delivered a specially made pizza to Pope Francis.

"The pizza, which had 'II Papa' spelled out in dough and topped with yellow cherry tomatoes, was collected by a smiling Pontiff from the vehicle as the assembled crowd erupts in cheers. Mr Cacialli . . . told a local newspaper that the decoration was in homage to the Vatican colours and Papal flag. . . . [Cacialli] told II Mattino he was 'full of joy that he accepted a pizza straight from my hands.'"²⁴

 

 

The pope’s love of fine food is well known among his followers and is in striking contrast to the self-control exhibited by Yahushua.

This well-known lack of moderation and self control is obvious in his overweight figure and is at odds with Scripture:

“Let your moderation be known unto all men. [Yahushua] is at hand.” (Philippians 4:5, NKJV)

 

“And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things.” (1 Corinthians 9:25, NKJV)

 

“Whoever has no rule over his own spirit is like a city broken down, without walls.” (Proverbs 25:28, NKJV)

 

“For the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty.” (Proverbs 23:21, NKJV)

It is also in stark contrast to the simple lifestyle of mankind’s example, who said: “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.” (John 4:34, NKJV)

In other areas as well, Pope Francis may appear humble to outsiders. He made the unusual choice to wear a gold-plated silver Fisherman’s ring, rather than solid gold, when he became pope. Nevertheless, his robes are made of the finest wool, custom made by Gammarelli, tailor to popes since the eighteenth century.

Over all, the pope’s lifestyle and sartorial choices appear far more “humble” than those of his predecessors. As Time magazine reported: “Pope Francis, like many pontiffs before him, wears a long-chained cross around his neck. His cross, however, is much more modest than those of his predecessors who wore gold and bejeweled crosses. Pope Francis' cross is silver and is said to depict Jesus holding a lamb.”²⁵

However, one cannot help but question the sincerity of his apparent humble demeanor when recalling his words at his recent TED talk: “The more powerful you are, the more your actions will have an impact on people, the more responsible you are to act humbly.” In contrast, the words of the Saviour come forcibly to mind: “Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.” (Matthew 23:27, KJV) Yahushua taught that all are to beperfect, not merely act perfectly: “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” (Matthew 5:48, KJV)

Perfection in Yahushua is a state of being, not an action verb.

But then, saying one thing and believing another is commonplace with Jesuits. The oath they take upon joining the order gives them permission to lie when it is expedient to do so, and never forget: Francis is a Jesuit. As one author observed: “It is my opinion that if the liberties of this country—the United States—are destroyed, it will be by the subtlety of the Roman Catholic Jesuit priests, for they are the most crafty, dangerous enemies to civil and religious liberty. They have instigated most of the wars in Europe.”²⁶

When Benedict became pope, many people—even Catholics—were appalled and concerned that such a hardliner, a theological conservative, a throwback to the medieval popes, had been elevated to such a powerful and influential office. One Catholic woman, from his home province of Bavaria, was in tears when hearing that the former Joseph Ratzinger had been elected pope, stating, “I had so hoped we would get a good pope.”

The danger with the soft-spoken, gentle Francis is even greater because it is unrecognized. As a wolf in sheep’s clothing, he has charmed and disarmed multitudes from all faiths. It thus behooves every faithful believer to carefully compare his words with those of the Saviour’s, because the words spoken always reveal what is in the heart.

Yahushua’s words to the Pharisees of His day should be remembered when hearing Pope Francis’s statements that contradict Scripture: “O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.” (Matthew 12:34, KJV)

Ask yourself: What do the words of Pope Francis reveal about his heart, his beliefs . . . his hidden agenda?
