“No one can keep the
commandments!” - In a sense this is true, for we are carnally minded, “Because the carnal mind is enmity against Yahuwah: for it is not
subject to the law of Yahuwah, neither indeed can be.” Romans 8:7. The verse
just before this tells us that to be carnally minded means death, but to be
spiritually minded means life.
When we really love Yahuwah, we
obey Him because we love Him, “If you love me, keep my
commandments.” John 15:14.
When we are converted by
the grace of Yahuwah, we obtain the grace to obey His commandments. “I can do all things through the Anointed which strengtheneth me.”
Philippians 4:13.
Who is stronger, Yahuwah or
Satan? If the devil can lead us to sin, then Yahuwah can empower us not to sin, Yahuwah is stronger than the
devil!
“For what the law
could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, Yahuwah sending his own Son in
the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4That the righteousness of the law might be
fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” Romans 8:3, 4. Flesh is weak; people are weak. Man cannot keep Yahuwah’s law.
That is why Yahuwah sent His Only Begotten Son in sinful flesh to overcame
sin for us and died for our sins to empower us to live as He did under the
grace of Yahuwah.
Yahuwah has assured
us divine power when we ask for it so that we can obey His principles. This is
acquired when we ask Yahushua to live in us, thus having the law “fulfilled in us”
and not by us.
To know our Master
means that we should keep His commandments. “He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his
commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him.”1 John 2:4 (also see
John 15:14). “Blessed
are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of
life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.” “For this is the love of
Yahuwah, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.” Revelation 22:14; 1 John
5:3.
We will be judged by the
law of Yahuwah. “For
whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty
of all. 11For he that said, Do not commit
adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou
kill, thou art become a transgressor of the law. 12So
speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.” James 2:10-12.
