Interwoven throughout Scripture is a principle of unimaginable power, just waiting to be accessed by anyone who will claim it by faith. |
Scripture declares that Yahuwah cannot lie. The reason is simple: whatever Yahuwah states is so as soon as He says it!
If we are standing in a dark room and I tell you, “It’s light,” I’m lying. I have to actually flip a switch or light a candle to fulfill my statement.
Yahuwah doesn’t need to do that. Just as soon as He says, “It’s light,” it is light. That is because Yahuwah’s word itself contains the divine power to do what He says.
This startling concept is spelled out in Isaiah 55 and it is said to encourage believers to call upon Yah for help:
Seek ye Yahuwah while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near: let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto Yahuwah, and He will have mercy upon him; and to our Eloah, for He will abundantly pardon.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith Yahuwah. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.
For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: so shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. (Isaiah 55:6-11, KJV)

Just as the rain is the active agent that makes the earth blossom with life, the Father says, “so shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but [My word] shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto |
This is the secret to accessing divine power. The very word of Yah itself contains the power to accomplish whatever He states! Just as the rain is the active agent that makes the earth blossom with life, the Father says, “so shall My word be that goeth forth out of My mouth: it [My word] shall not return unto Me void, but it [My word] shall accomplish that which I please, and it [My word] shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
Let your faith grasp this reality and your spiritual walk will become one of uninterrupted victories.
Faith has an important role to play. Faith is defined as: “The assent of the mind to the truth of what is declared by another, resting on his authority and veracity, without other evidence; the judgment that what another states or testifies is the truth.”1
True faith is never blind. Rather, it is based on one’s personal acquaintance with the Creator as a being of unlimited power and infinite love. Once you understand that power to overcome is simply awaiting your demand upon it, you can by faith then claim any promise given. Once you do this, be assured that the promise is fulfilled (at that moment!) This is because the divine power necessary to fulfill that promise is already contained in the words themselves.
This intimate connection between divine power and faith was something the Saviour repeatedly tried to teach. When two blind men came to Yahushua for healing, He asked them: “‘Do you believe that I am able to do this?’ They said to Him, ‘Yes, Lord.’ Then He touched their eyes, saying, ‘According to your faith let it be to you.’” (Matthew 9:28-29, NKJV)
When the disciples asked why they had been unable to cast the unclean spirit out of the demon-possessed boy, Yahushua explained: “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20, NKJV)
Divine power is not contained in a person’s faith. Faith is not some magical incantation. Rather, faith is the hand that grasps the power already contained in the promise.
The story of the centurion is one of the most powerful illustrations of faith laying hold on the divine power contained in the divine word.
When Yahushua was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, and saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
And Yahushua saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
When Yahushua heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. (Matthew 8:5-10, KJV)
The centurion did not need Yahushua to come lay His hands upon the sick servant. He knew that the power to fulfill his request was contained in the word spoken. His faith grasped that the power contained within the promise was what fulfilled the promise. And that was enough for him.
Once it is understood that the power to fulfill any promise is already contained within the promise itself, all of Yahuwah’s statements become self-fulfilling declarations when grasped by faith!
When the woman caught in adultery was dragged before the Saviour, He gently told the terrified woman: “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” (John 8:11 NKJV) Within the words “go and sin no more” was the power to enable her to do that very thing. That power is still there, just waiting for the hand of faith to lay hold and claim it.
This is how we are to overcome any and every known sin. Peter opened his second epistle with the beautiful explanation:
Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of Yah and of Yahushua our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. (2 Peter 1:2-4, NKJV)
Yahuwah has provided a promise to meet every need.
“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16, KJV)
