- And the LORD God (Yahuwah Elohim) said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. (Genesis 3:14-16)
Yahuwah Elohim, the only true God, was speaking directly to the serpent (and the woman) as singular "I" or "he": (I will put...; I will greatly...; he said...) Therefore, Satan knew very well that Yahuwah was
one and the only true God, not three Gods.
Later, in the book of Job, we again find a conversation between Yahuwah and Satan. Notice again the singular language:
- Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD (Yahuwah), and Satan came also among them. And the LORD (Yahuwah) said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD (Yahuwah), and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. And the LORD (Yahuwah) said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Then Satan answered the LORD (Yahuwah), and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? (Job 1:6-9)
It is clear that Satan knew Yahuwah Elohim by His name and as singular God, not as triune God.
The Trinity is an invention of the adversary.
