Lunar/solar? it should be just solar, new moons is a wrong translation of the word months. God does not use the moon for time keeping.
The biblical evidence does not support that conclusion. Scripture repeatedly connects the moon with the appointed times and the months, and the Hebrew word chodesh is related to the new moon and the beginning of a month. Genesis 1:14 says the heavenly lights were given for “signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years,” while Psalm 104:19 specifically says, “He appointed the moon for seasons.” The biblical calendar therefore cannot simply be reduced to a solar calendar while dismissing the moon. Whatever terminology translators use, the scriptural testimony shows that the moon has a genuine role in Yahuwah’s appointed system of timekeeping.
