As the Gospel spread beyond the borders of Judea into the Greco-Roman world, it encountered a culture saturated in Platonic and Stoic philosophy. To the Greek mind, a purely human savior was “foolishness” (1 Corinthians 1:23). The Greeks sought a mediator who was a metaphysical bridge—a “Logos” or a demi-god who shared the essence of the divine. Where do you stand?
