Scripture also warns that silence can be more dangerous than accusation. An accusing conscience may still lead to repentance, but a silent conscience often indicates hardening. Hebrews emphasizes the urgency: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts” (Hebrews 3:15). Sensitivity is not guaranteed forever. What is ignored today may become inaudible tomorrow.
