Can a true Christian be anti-Israel?

Question: Can a true Christian be anti-Israel?

Answer: Many sincere Christians have developed an entire theology around Israel, Judaism and what is popularly referred to as the Ten “Lost” Tribes.  In recent years, an entire Hebrew Roots Movement has grown up around the idea of the preeminence of Israel as the Chosen of Yah.  Frequently, these people will claim to be a biological descendent of one of the lost tribes with no other evidence than their heart tells them it is so.  Such beliefs are based on an incorrect understanding of what constitutes true Israel.

No true Christian will be anti-Israel, because no true Christian will be racist or hate-filled.  In His sermon on the mount, Yahushua explained the far-reaching spiritual nature of the divine law:

You have heard that it was said to those of old, “You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.”  But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, “Raca!” shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, “You fool!” shall be in danger of hell fire.  (Matthew 5:21-22)

The heart of a true Christian will be filled with divine love for his fellow-man.  Therefore, no true Christian will be anti-Israel, or anti-Arab, or anti-anyone based on race, creed or religion and self-sacrificing efforts will be made to share the light and love of Heaven with all.

That said, no true Christian will condone the war-mongering actions of any nation, be it the United States and it’s allies, or North Korea, or any other nation.  Israel is no exception.  Whenever an individual, a church or a nation veers from the path of righteousness (right-doing), he, she or they are no longer under the approval and blessing of Yahuwah.  WLC stands firmly opposed to the political agenda of Zionists and those who sincerely but ignorantly support them based on an incorrect application of Yah’s promises to Israel.

Yahuwah’s promises are always given on condition of obedience.  Israel as a nation rejected Yahuwah when they demanded a king to rule over them.  Nevertheless, Yah’s heart of infinite love continued to woo them, entreating them to return to obedience to Him:

“As I live,” says Yahuwah Eloah, “I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?”  (Ezekiel 33:11)

Not even the death of Yah’s own Son was enough to beat back the waves of divine mercy, although their day of probation was drawing rapidly to a close.  With the stoning of Stephen, the early Christians scattered and the gospel was, at that time, taken to the Gentiles.  Divine grace, persistently rejected, was at last withdrawn from a nation that did not want it.  Henceforth the promises to Israel were promises to be fulfilled to spiritual Israel: individuals, both Jew and Gentile, who by faith accepted the death and life of Yahushua for their redemption from sin.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Yahushua the Annointed.  And if you are Yahushua’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. (Galatians 3:28-29)
