Many
people who desire a rational and unified explanation for life’s mysteries are
drawn to Scientology. Yahuwah graciously
invites inquiring minds, “Come now, let us reason together.” (Isaiah 1:18)
The Creator of all is perfectly willing to provide answers to troubled
hearts. His word urges: “If any of you
lack wisdom, let him ask of Yahuwah, that giveth to all men liberally, and
upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
Human
minds can contrive many and varied suppositions but only those that agree with
the revealed, eternal truths of the Divine can truly address life’s problems
and satisfy the longing of human hearts.
The beliefs of Scientology are mingled with error that prevents
believers from the healing and advancement for which they long. Following is a brief listing of some of the
errors found in Scientology:
- Scientology teaches that human beings are
thetans: alien spiritual beings trapped on Earth in a physical “meat
body.” Yahuwah alone is the originator
of all that exists. He has revealed how
the human race came into existence: “And
Elohim said, Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness: and let them
have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over
the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth
upon the earth. So Elohim created man in
His own image, in the image of Elohim created He him; male and female created He
them.” (Genesis 1:26-27) Mankind is on earth because Yahuwah created
the human race to be the rulers of this world, and He created Adam and Eve as our first parents.
- Scientology teaches that thetans are immortal
spirit beings. As the Creator of all,
Yahuwah understands the secrets of existence of every created thing. His word reveals Yahuwah “is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of
lords; Who only hath immortality.” (1
Timothy 6:15-16)
- Scientologists believe their immortal spirit lives on in an
endless cycle of birth and death. As
thetans, they believe they have had innumerable past lives, lived out in
extraterrestrial cultures prior to their arrival on earth. Such a belief contradicts Scripture which
explains: “As it is appointed unto men once
to die, but after this the judgment: so Yahushua was once offered to bear
the sins of many.” (Hebrews 9:27-28)
- Scientologists
have an incomplete understanding of the nature of the Creator. Far more than the Eighth Dynamic or an
impersonal Supreme Being, the Originator of All presents Himself as a loving Father willing to sacrifice His own Son to save His earth-bound children. “For
Yah so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever
believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
He “is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any
should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (2
Peter 3:9)
- Scientologists believe that the painful
experiences of past lives, although hidden from conscious memory, are what trap
them in the present, physical body. By a
process of “auditing,” they seek to discharge these deeply buried traumas and
escape present suffering that is the result of past damaging experiences. The problem is, their process of
self-improvement called the “Bridge to Total Freedom,” is crossed by one’s own
efforts. Turning inward will never heal
the hurting heart for, “The heart is deceitful above
all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”
(Jeremiah 17:9) Furthermore, by
beholding we become changed, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” (Proverbs 23:7) True release from past hurts is to be found only with Yahuwah, for the Creator is also the re-Creator: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy
laden, and I will give you rest. Take my
yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall
find rest unto your souls.” (Matthew 11:28-29)
- Scientologists believe that sin is untruth,
being composed of lies and hidden actions.
Scripture, however, reveals it to be much more: “Sin is the
transgression of the law.” (1 John 3:4)
Yahuwah invites Scientologists to come unto Him,
laying aside erroneous man-made solutions and answers. In the arms of eternal love, they will find
comfort, health and healing for every human woe.
