SCRIPTURE
The Holy Scriptures (Old and New Testaments) are Yahuwah-breathed and divinely inspired (2 Peter 1:20-21). They contain a full revelation of the Father's will for man and are the only infallible source for "doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness" (2 Tim. 3:16). [The Bible]
YAHUWAH IS ONE
There is one loving Creator (Deut. 6:4; Mark 12:29; 1 Cor. 8:6) a personal, spiritual being, omnipotent, omniscient, eternal, unchangeable (Malachi 3:6) and everywhere present by His Holy Spirit (Psalms 139:7). The Creator is the great "I AM" ("I AM that I AM" - Exodus 3:14). His name, pronounced in the Hebrew (יהוה), is Yahuwah, which His people are to proclaim to all nations, reverence, and honor by their lives, conversation, worship, and obedience to His commandments. [Father Yahuwah: One God]
ONE MEDIATOR (CHRIST YAHUSHUA)
There is one mediator between Yahuwah and men, the man Christ Yahushua (1 Tim. 2:5) who is the first begotten, totally human, non-pre-existent, son of Yahuwah born of a virgin (Luke 1:26-35). He came to fulfill the promises and covenants of Yahuwah with mankind. He is not “God the Son” of the false “trinity.” He was made of the seed of Abraham and of David (Rom. 1:3). He was tried and tempted as we are, yet was without sin (Heb. 4:15). He resisted sin even to death (Philippians 2:8) for every man (Heb. 2:9) to make atonement for humanity (Heb.2:17) and reconcile us to the Father. He is the head of the ekklesia and the firstborn from the dead (Col. 1:18). He is currently seated at the right hand of Father in heaven, "far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come" (Eph. 1:20-21). Yahushua is the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords (Rev. 19:16), the conquering lion of the tribe of Judah (Rev. 5:5), and the Lamb of Yahuwah that takes away the sins of the world (John 1:29). He is "the way, the truth, and the life." No one comes to the Father except through him (John 14:6). In due time, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Yahushua is lord to the glory of the Father (Phillipians 2:10-11). [Yahushua: 100% Human]
THE GOSPEL OF THE KINGDOM
The Gospel, or Good News, is about the everlasting Kingdom of Yahuwah on earth. Upon repentance when we accept the Gospel of the Kingdom (Matt.3:2, 4:17; Mark 1:15), we are reconciled to the Father through Yahushua by his death, burial, and resurrection (1 Cor. 15:1-4), the reward of which is eternal citizenship in the kingdom of Yahuwah to be established on the newly created/restored earth (2 Pet. 3:13; Rev. 21:1) as His dwelling place among men. This was the central message of Yahushua during his earthly sojourn (Mark 1:1, 14, 15; Matt. 6:33) and his sole intent and purpose was to teach, qualify, and enable his fellow human beings to inherit, enter (Mark 10:15), and occupy this kingdom. The final destination of the righteous, therefore, is not heaven - above the earth (Psalm 37:9, Psalm 37:11, John 3:13, Acts 2:34, Matt. 5:5), but the kingdom of Yahuwah, which will be established upon the earth (Matt. 6:10, Luke 11:2). (See also: Daniel 2:34-35, 44-45; 7:13-14, 27) [Yahuwah's Eternal Earthly Kingdom]
The return of the lord Yahushua to earth will not be a secret. The "secret rapture" doctrine is a fallacy. Yahushua's return will be an ineffably cataclysmic, yet glorious event (2 Peter 3:10) in which the wicked will perish (2 Peter 3:7) and the righteous will receive immortality (1 Cor. 15:50-55). Yahushua gave no sign whatsoever of his return. The only hint he gave the disciples was that it would be sudden and when least expected. Furthermore, unlike the destruction of the temple and Jerusalem, where our lord gave specific signs and a time framework for the event (Matt. 24:1-34), he stated that no one (not even him) knows the day or the hour of his return except the Father (Matthew 24:36). Master Yahushua did, however, hint that his return would be delayed (Matthew 24:48; 25:1-6, 14) and indicated that life on Earth will be business as usual when he returns unexpectedly (Matt. 24:36-39). The key takeaway for believers today is this: We need to be ready every day of our lives, with the strong likelihood that our death may be sooner than his return. Signs do not precede either our sudden death or his return. It is vitally important that believers everywhere search their hearts and make a full surrender. Whether we pass through the grave or greet him at his return, let us strive to be awake, aware, and ready! [Yahushua's Return]
SALVATION
All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of Yahuwah (Rom. 3:23). The deserved wages of our sin is death (Rom. 6:23). But Yahuwah, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us (Eph. 2:4-7) gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). The lord Yahushua and his vicarious sacrifice on our behalf is our only hope, if we wish to know life beyond the present world. His sacrifice was once for all (Heb. 9:12; 10:10) and there is nothing whatsoever that we can do to add to his already perfect work. When we believe Father's Yahuwah's promise to save us and we put our faith in the atoning sacrifice of His son, Yahushua's righteousness is credited to us (Rom. 3:24-26; 4:5; 2 Cor. 5:21), and we pass from death to life (John 5:24). [Salvation]
Justification: We are justified [declared righteous in the sight of Yahuwah] by faith (Rom. 3:28; 5:1; Gal. 2:16) the moment we believe. Whenever Paul links righteousness with faith, he only references justification, not justification plus sanctification. We are declared righteous in the sight of Yahuwah the moment we believe. Righteousness and justification come from the same Greek root word. This implies that we are assured of eternal life once Yahuwah declares us righteous. Justification will result in a change in life with an unmistakable inclination towards holiness. Good works will evidence such a change (James 2:20-26) but will never produce perfection/sinlessness on this side of eternity. However, a justified follower of Yahushua will not wilfully sin (Heb. 10:26). Occasional setbacks will occur due to our fallen nature but will be followed by repentance (1 John 1:9), great sadness, and a renewed determination to resist sin until death (Heb. 12:4). The good news is that these regrettable occasional setbacks will not rob us of the assurance of eternal life.
Sanctification: Sanctification is the process by which we are molded into the likeness of the lord Yahushua. It is an ongoing process that continues throughout the lifetime of the believer. To be sanctified means to be set apart. When imbued with the Holy Spirit, we will become increasingly set apart from the world and those things not in harmony with the Father's character (1 Thess. 4:3-8). It is through Yahushua's sacrifice, alone, that we are sanctified (Heb. 10:10, 14; 13:12). "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord." (2 Cor. 3:18; See also: Rom. 12:2).
Glorification: This is the ultimate hope of all believers. It is the final step in our transformation from bearing the fallen image of the "first Adam" to bearing the perfect image of the "second Adam," Christ Yahushua (1 Cor. 15:45-49). While believers are gifted with the earnest (pledge; down-payment) of the Holy Spirit upon conversion as a guarantee of the promised redemption (2 Cor. 1:22; 5:5), it is not until the return of Yahushua that we receive our glorified bodies and inherit the fullness of Yahuwah's promise. Believers will be gifted with immortality and new natures at the resurrection (1 Cor. 15:42-44; 2 Cor. 5:1-4; Rom. 8:23). Those who are blessed to be alive when Yahushua returns will be glorified when they are caught up to meet the Master in the air (1 Thess. 4:15-17). "Beloved, now we are children of Yahuwah; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when he is revealed, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is." (1 John 3:2)
THE NEW COVENANT
Yahuwah’s moral law, the Ten Commandments, are a trancript of Yahuwah's unchanging character and the immutable standard for all believers. It is this moral law that is written on the hearts of believers (Jer. 31:31-34; Heb. 8:8-12; 10:16-17) by the indwelling Holy Spirit (1 John 2:27). The New Covenant, ratified by the blood of Yahushua (Matt. 26:28; Mark 14:24; Luke 22:20; Heb. 12:24), has made the Old Covenant obsolete (Heb. 8:13), as it was only intended to operate "until the time of reformation" (Heb. 9:10) and the coming of the promised Messiah, who has become our High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek (Heb. 7:14-19). Under the New Covenant, believers have full assurance of forgivness and communion with the Father and His son through the Holy Spirit (Jer. 31:33-34; Heb. 8:10-12; 10:16-22). Under the New Covenant, believers constitute both the temple and the priesthood (1 Cor. 3:16; Eph. 2:19-22; 1 Peter 2:5; 9-10). And the sacrifices offered are spiritual (1 Peter 2:5).
WLC believes that the seventh-day Sabbath remains a vital part of the New Covenant for the following reasons: (1) The Sabbath was sanctified (set-apart) during Creation Week, long before the children of Israel received the covenant at Sinai (Gen. 2:2-3). (2) The Sabbath is at the heart of the moral law, written [twice] on stone by the finger of Yahuwah Himself (Ex. 31:18; Deut. 9:10). This is unlike the transient carnal ordinances (Heb. 9:1, 9-10), which were penned by Moses and written in a book (Exo 24:4; Deut. 31:24). [NOTE: The Ten Commandments were placed inside the Ark of the Covenant (Exo 25:16, 21; Deut. 10:1-5; 1 Kings 8:9, 21; Heb. 9:4), which represents the very throne of Yahuwah (Ex. 25:22), while the laws penned by Moses were placed beside the Ark (Deut. 31:26).]
WLC believes that the dietary laws remain binding upon believers under the New Covenant for the following reasons: (1) The distinction between clean and unclean animals was recognized by Noah, long before the children of Israel received the dietary laws from Moses (Gen. 7:2, 8). (2) Under the Old Covenant earthly temple system, unclean animals were never permitted to be offered/sacrificed. Doing so would utterly defile the altar, as happened when Antiochus IV sacrificed a pig upon the altar (I Maccabees 1:54). Today, believers are the temple (1 Cor. 3:16; Eph. 2:19-22; 1 Peter 2:5), so it stands to reason that we should abstain from unclean foods. (3) The command to abstain from eating particular animals was not merely arbitrary. The foods labeled unclean in the Old Testament are unhealthy for the body, as nutritional science today readily confirms. We cannot eat things that we know are detrimental to our overall health to the glory of Yahuwah (1 Cor. 10:31; 3 John 1:2).
We do not suppose for a second that Yahushua abolished the distinction between clean and unclean creatures as taught by some prominent New Covenant preachers, thus bringing to non-effect Yahuwah's warning in Isaiah 66:17 - "They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith Yahuwah." Yahushua faithfully upheld all of Father Yahuwah's instructions and commandments in his teachings. "I have kept My Father’s commandments" (John 15:17). Believing that Yahushua and Paul permitted the eating of unclean animals is based on a flagrant faulty hermeneutic of the Scriptures.
BAPTISM
Baptism, as commanded by the lord Yahushua (Matt. 28:19-20), is an outward demonstration of our faith in his death, burial, and resurrection (Rom. 6:3-6; Col. 2:12). Following faith and repentance, baptism in the name of Christ Yahushua (Acts 2:38) may be performed by any true member of Yahuwah's ekklesia (Hebrews 12:22-24). (See also: Acts 2:37-38; 8:12, 36-38; 9:17-18; 10:47-48; 16:14-15, 32-33; 18:8; 22:16; Gal. 3:27) Self-baptism: If you have no one to baptize you and you must do it alone, then simply declare to Yahuwah and the onlooking angels, "I believe that Yahushua is the Christ, the son of the living God, and I receive your baptism in his holy name" (Acts 8:36-38). Then fully immerse yourself in the water to the glory of the Father and His anointed son. [Baptism]
At WLC, we honor and worship our Creator by acknowledging the world He created for us, and denouncing the counterfeit world created by the pseudo-scientists and the Roman Catholic Church (and her Jesuits). Scripture is abundantly clear: The Earth is flat (not spherical); The Earth is immovable. It does not rotate or orbit anything. (1 Chronicles 16:30; Psalm 93:1; 96:10; 104:1-5); The Earth is enclosed. The firmament overhead separates the waters above from the waters below. (Genesis 1:6-8); The sun, moon, and stars are inside the firmament, which is solid in nature. (Genesis 1:14-18; Job 37:18); It is the heavenly bodies that move, not the Earth. (Joshua 10:12-13; Isaiah 38:8; Psalm 19:1-6) [The earth is flat.]
THE CREATOR'S CALENDAR
The Biblical Calendar is luni-solar (meaning that it employs the heavenly bodies for time-keeping), and is not synonymous with the modern papal Gregorian calendar observed by the world today. New Moon Day, the weekly Sabbaths, and the yearly feasts are all calculated by the luni-solar calendar. Each month is lunar and the weekly cycle restarts with each New Moon. New Moon Day starts with the first dawn after conjunction (also known as the astronomical new moon). Six work days follow and then a seventh-day Sabbath on the eighth of the month. Three more weeks follow, ending on the 29th. The weekly seventh-day Sabbath always falls on the 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th days of the month. The lunations are tied to the solar year by the spring equinox. No month ever has more than 30 days. [The Creator's Calendar]
WLC does not consider the Biblical Calendar one of the elements of the Old Covenant, which was made obsolete by Yahushua’s institution of the New Covenant. Father Yahuwah established the foundations of His calendar during Creation Week (Gen. 1:14-16), long before the fall of Adam and Eve. Therefore, as long as the sun and moon remain in place, His calendar will remain in effect as the divinely created tool for locating His Holy Days.
While WLC does not believe that the annual feast days are binding upon believers today, we humbly encourage all to set time aside to commemorate them with solemnity and joy, and to learn from Yahuwah’s instructions concerning their observance under the Old Covenant. Doing so will surely be a blessing to you and your home, as you study the wonderful types and shadows that point to the exaltation of Messiah Yahushua as the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the conquering lion of the tribe of Judah, and the Lamb of Yahuwah that takes away the sins of the world.
The grave (sheol in Hebrew; hades in Greek) is a place of darkness in which there is no work, device, wisdom, or knowledge (Eccl. 9:10). The state to which we are reduced by death is one of silence, inactivity, and unconsciousness (Psalm 88:11-12; 146:3-4; Eccl. 9:5-6). At the return of Yahushua, the righteous dead will be raised to life and given immortality; the wicked will receive the sentence of condemnation and be destroyed (John 5:28-29). [State of the Dead]
Heaven is not the Christian hope. The Bible nowhere promises "heaven" to believers. Rather, Scripture teaches that those who have put their faith in Christ Yahushua will be resurrected and gifted with immortality upon his return to earth (1 Cor. 15:21-23). Those who are alive at his return will be transformed without passing through the grave (1 Thess. 4:15-17). The hope of the redeemed is unending life in Yahuwah's kingdom upon the earth made new (2 Pet. 3:10-13; Rev. 21:1-8). [Heaven is NOT the Christian goal.] (For an explanation of WLC's view of the Millennium in Revelation 20, kindly refer to the "Bible Prophecy" section below.)
Hell is not an ever-burning place of eternal torment. The wicked will not be tormented throughout the ceaseless ages of eternity as many today teach. Rather, they will be destroyed. The wicked shall be "cut off" forever (Psa. 37:9, 38; Prov. 2:22). They shall utterly "perish" (Job 20:7; Psa. 37:20; John 3:16; 2 Peter 2:12). They shall be "consumed" (Job 20:26; Isa. 1:28, 31), "devoured" (Psa. 21:9; Isa. 10:16-18; Nah. 1:9-10; Rev. 20:9), and "destroyed" (Psa. 37:34-38; 52:1, 5; 92:7; 145:20; Prov. 13:13; Isa. 13:9; 2 Peter 2:9-12) by fire and shall be "no more" (Psa. 37:9-11). They "shall be as though they had not been" (Oba. 1:15-16). [Hell: The Destruction of the Wicked]
NEW HEAVENS & NEW EARTH
At the last trump, the living righteous will be immortalized and with the resurrected righteous, caught up to meet Yahushua in the air (1 Thess. 4:16, 17). The immortalized saints will then accompany Master Yahushua as he returns to the earth, which will be made new (2 Pet. 3:10-13; Rev. 21:1-8). Unending life in Yahuwah's eternal kingdom upon the New Earth is the great hope of the believer.
The fulfillment of Bible Prophecy is irrefutable proof of the Bible's divine origins. "Remember the former things of old, For I am El, and there is no other; I am Elohim, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done . . ." (Isaiah 46:9-10) To date, Scripture has maintained a perfect track record of predicted events, down to the most minute detail.
A Few Examples: The fall of the Babylonian Empire and subsequent rise of the Medo-Persian Empire (Daniel 2); Cyrus to be the warrior to capture Babylon (Isaiah 45:1-3)... Cyrus had not yet been born!; Babylon to never be inhabited again (Isaiah 13, Jeremiah 51); The fall of the Medo-Persian Empire and subsequent rise of Greece (Daniel 2, 7, 8); The conquests of Alexander the Great (Daniel 7, 8); The division of Greece among four generals following Alexander’s death (Daniel 8); The rise and fall of pagan Rome following the fall of the Grecian Empire (Daniel 2); Egypt to never again have a commanding position among the nations (Ezekiel 29, 30); The destruction of the Temple at Jerusalem (Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 19); The Exact year of the first Christian martyr, and the giving of the gospel to the Gentiles - The "70 Weeks" Prophecy (Daniel 9)
The lord Yahushua fulfilled more than 350 messianic prophecies in every detail, including the exact times, places, and circumstances of his birth, his ministry, his rejection, his betrayal, and his vicarious death.
A Few Examples: Be a descendant of Abraham (Genesis 12:3); Be a descendant of Isaac (Genesis 17:19; 21:12); Be a descendant of Jacob (Gen 28:14; Numbers 24:17, 19); Be a descendant of Judah (Genesis 49:10); Be born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:1-2); Be born at a Specific Time (Daniel 9:25) - This prophecy pointed forward to the exact years of Yahushua’s baptism and crucifixion!; Slaughter of children in an effort to kill Yahushua while He was still a child (Jeremiah 31:15); Flight to Egypt (Hosea 11:1); Preceded by a forerunner (Malachi 3:1); Preceded by Elijah (Malachi 4:5-6); Declared the Son of Yahuwah (Psalms 2:7; Proverbs 30:4); Have a ministry in healing (Isaiah 35:5-6; 42:18); Galilean ministry (Isaiah 8:22-9:1; 9:1-2); Speak in parables (Psalms 78:2-4); A prophet (Deuteronomy 18:15); Have Yahuwah's own Name applied to Him (Isaiah 9:5-7; Jeremiah 23:5-6); To bind up the brokenhearted (Isaiah 61:1-2); Rejected by His own people (Isaiah 53:3; 63:3; Psalms 69:8-9); Adored by great persons (Psalms 72:10-11); Priest after the order of Melchizedek (Psalms 110:4); Triumphal entry into Jerusalem on a colt (Zechariah 9:9); Adored by infants (Psalms 8:2); Not believed (Isaiah 53:1); Betrayed by a close friend (Psalms 41:9; 55:12-15); Betrayed for thirty pieces of silver (Zechariah 11:12); Accused by false witnesses (Psalms 35:11); Silent to accusations (Isaiah 53:7); Spat on and struck (Isaiah 50:6); Hated without reason (Isaiah 49:7, Psalms 35:19; 69:4-5); Crucified with criminals (Isaiah 53:12); Pierced through His hands and feet (Psalms 22:16-17; Zechariah 12:10); Sneered and mocked (Psalms 22:7-8); Reproached (Psalms 69:9); Prayed for His enemies (Psalms 109:4); Soldiers gambled for His clothing (Psalms 22:17-18); No bones broken (Exodus 12:46; Psalms 34:20); His side pierced (Zechariah 12:10); Buried with the rich (Isaiah 53:9); Resurrected! (Psalms 16:10; 49:15)
WLC holds to a partial-preterist view of Bible Prophecy, meaning that most of the Bible's prophesied events have already come to pass (including the Olivet Discourse of Matthew 24 and all of the Book of Revelation, with the exception of the last few chapters). The Master's return will be sudden and unexpected. Those who are expecting a particular sign to herald the nearness of his return are in danger of being caught unaware (Matt. 24:36-25:46).
WLC adheres to the Amillennial view of Revelation 20, which posits that the Millennium (1,000 years – Rev. 20:1-6) is a symbolic period, representing Christ's reign from Heaven over all the world's nations (from his ascension until his glorious return), while the believers reign with him by faith (Eph. 2:5-6). During this [current] period, Satan is restricted in his ability to deceive the nations – unlike the period that preceded Christ's ascension (Matt. 12:29; Luke 11:21). However, just before the return of Christ, Satan will again be permitted to deceive the nations without restrictions (Rev. 20:7-8). It is clear from Revelation 19 that the beast and the false prophet will play critical roles in this final deception. John does not reveal whether the false prophet and the beast are two specific individuals or systems when they emerge with Satan to carry out their final deception; this will become more apparent when the time comes for Satan to be freed.
We do not believe that we are qualified to apply the dual-fulfillment principle to specific Bible prophecies, like the fall of Jerusalem (Matt. 24:1-34) as a type of the final destruction of the world. There are only a few instances in which the inspired prophets of Yahuwah applied this principle in their writings. They have done so, like in the prophecy of Isaiah 7:14 (Matt. 1:23), but it was under the pointed inspiration of the Holy Spirit, which is the author of both the Old and New Testament. Therefore, students of Scripture today should shun the dual-fulfillment approach to interpreting Bible prophecy. Prophecies have a one-time fulfillment, unless the Holy Spirit indicates otherwise.
When interpreting Scripture, and prophecy in particular, we must allow those things which are plainly stated to shed light on the more ambiguous statements; we must never insist on using the more ambiguous statements and illustrations to make null those things which are plainly stated. Said another way, no interpretation of a symbolic passage should be allowed to overturn (or trump) the witness of a passage, which was written in a clear didactic and a straightforward manner. [Bible Prophecy]
TRUE ISRAEL
An Israelite, in the New Testament Biblical sense, is one who accepts Yahuwah's plan of salvation through Yahushua, the Anointed, and who follows Yahuwah fully. A true Israelite may be of Jewish or Gentile descent. It is not his natural (or first) birth that makes him an Israelite (Rom. 2:28-29; 9:6); it is the new (or second) birth (John 3:3; 1 Pet. 1:22-23). Israelites are twice-born men and women, who have accepted the grace of Yahuwah, and who recognize Yahushua as their Redeemer from sin and death. In Christ, there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile. All are one in Messiah Yahushua (Rom. 10:12; Gal. 3:28-29; Col. 3:10-11). [Israel]
We loathe the destructive use of many Christian pulpits to promote Christian Zionism and the national interest of the godless nation of Israel. Nothing is more abominable to Father Yahuwah and Master Yahushua than such misguided and unholy pursuits. Instead of spreading the Gospel of the Kingdom and urging the constant readiness of Christians to welcome back Yahushua on any day, these pulpits are misusing their privilege to promote a Satanic false gospel. We warn the followers of this false gospel to flee from these pulpits and repentantly return to the fundamental elements of the faith once delivered to the saints.
SPEAKING IN TONGUES
The true "gift of tongues" always glorifies Yahuwah and is only given for the purpose of communicating divine truths to those who otherwise could not understand the words being spoken. By contrast, the sounds uttered by many who today claim to have the "gift of tongues" is nothing but meaningless babblings. The sounds made are not distinct languages and they certainly do not instruct any in truth and righteousness. In fact, the glossolalia, or “speaking in tongues,” practiced by most people today directly contradicts the guidelines given in Scripture that reveal whether it is genuine or false (Acts 2:1-41; 1 Cor. 14).
The WLC Team believes that it is high time that Yahuwah's faithful flee the apostate system of religion promulgated by the fallen churches today. All have fallen. All have lost their way and have become a breeding ground for complacency, false doctrines, and confusion. Home ekklesia is not simply an option; it is a must! [Worship from Home]
