The parallel in Luke 14:12-14

Yahushua gave a parallel in Luke 14:12-14 Tree Of Life Version - Yahushua says to His host - when you host a lunch or dinner, don't invite your friends or your brothers or your relatives or your rich neighbors. He is not saying you should not invite your friends. He is saying - don't invite only them - don't let that be the primary people that you invite. Otherwise, they might invite you in return as your payback. It's kind of like when Yahushua says if you love only those that love you, what reward will you have? A heathen can do that. It's not easy to love some people in this world. That's just how it is - because they rub you the wrong way. They're your enemy but you must show them love anyhow. You'll be kind to them, you can help them out if they need help because it takes a child of Yahuwah to do that.

Yahushua says when you host a banquet invite the poor, the crippled, the lame and the blind and you will be blessed since they cannot repay you. You will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous. That's when the kingdom of heaven comes down to the earth. The person who gives to the poor, hosts this banquet and is generous to people that can't pay him back. He knows they can't pay him back but yet he does the banquet up just so wonderful. Yahushua says don't worry you'll get repaid. It may not be in this life. You'll get repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.

So this leads perfectly into Matthew 6:24 - you cannot be a slave of two Masters, you will hate one and love the other, you will be loyal to one and despise the other - you cannot serve both Yahuwah and money. Yahushua's point is not that you can't have any money or wealth. His point is not that you cannot be rich. This teaching is about being generous and giving. That's not possible to do unless you have something to be generous with. So Yahushua's point is not that Job was wrong because he was rich or father Abraham was wrong because he was rich. Yahushua's point is that when you're wealthy as a believer you show that you're not controlled or mastered by your money when you're able to give a portion of it away. Obviously you have to keep something for yourself to take care of you your needs. You give a portion of it away because you know Yahuwah is the one that gives the power to get wealth. So you give back to Him when you give to the poor, to the lame.
