Question: What does it mean to be the "son of man"?

Answer:

There is only one G-d, the Father:

But to us there is but one G-d, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Yahushua Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. (1 Corinthians 8:6)

This one G-d, the Father, is not "a man", neither "the son of man", as it is written:

G-d is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent... (Numbers 23:19)

Because Yahushua is called "the son of man" and G-d is not "the son of man", Yahushua is not G-d. Yahushua is "the son of G-d" and "the son of man", 100% human being. Yahushua calls himself "the son of man":

And he cometh the third time, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: it is enough, the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners. (Mark 14:41)

And Yahushua said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven. ( Mark 14:62)

  • Yahushua = the son of man

The Hebrew expression "son of man" (בן–אדם, ben-'adam) appears 107 times in the Hebrew Bible, the majority (93 times) in the Book of Ezekiel. This is an Aramaic expression quite commonly used in Yahushua's day to refer to a human being. The meaning of "the son of man" is simple: a man.

Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. (Acts 17:31)

  • Yahushua = that ordained man
  • Yahushua = raised from the dead

Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Yahushua of Nazareth, a man approved of G-d among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which G-d did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know. (Acts 2:22)

  • Yahushua = a man approved of G-d

For there is one G-d, and one mediator between G-d and men, the man Christ Yahushua; (1Timothy 2:5)

  • Yahushua = one mediator between G-d and men
  • Yahushua = the man Yahushua Anointed

But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man (Adam) how much more did G-d’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Yahushua Christ, overflow to the many! (Romans 5:15)

  • Yahushua = the one man

The Greek word for "man" in these verses is anthropos. The Greek word anthropos means "a human being, whether male or female, generically, to include all human individuals, to distinguish man from beings of a different race or order."

Anthropos is used to describe Adam, the first man. In the same verse (Romans 5:15) it is used to describe Yahushua Christ. If words mean anything, one must believe that Yahushua Christ was a flesh and blood human being just like Adam.

Conclusion: Yahushua Christ (Anointed) was a man. "The son of man" or "a man" means human being. Existence of every "son of man" starts from a seed. Therefore also Yahushua, the son of man, has his beginning from the time he was born of Mary. He never was (and never will be) G-d the Son neither pre-existent Christ nor a pre-existent angel. These ideas are Satan´s lies.

Men, sons of men, human beings are lower than G-d and angels. Therefore Yahushua was neither G-d nor an angel. As it is described in Psalm 8:

When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him?

For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

O Yahuwah our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! (Psalm 8:1-9)
