What is the True Nature of Yahushua?

Which of these statements is false?

1. The secret rapture occurs before the great tribulation …

2. Unbaptized babies go to purgatory …

3. The Son has always co-existed eternally with the Father …

What would you think if I told you they are all false? Depending upon your religious background, you may never have believed in a pre-trib rapture or the idea of purgatory. But the idea that the “Son of G-d” is not eternally co-existent with the Father may sound like heresy.

Let’s look at the evidence …

Triune G-dhead? Or one G-d only?

The doctrine of a triune G-dhead has been considered foundational to Christianity for centuries. Kevin DeYoung, in an article entitled “The Doctrine of the Trinity: No Christianity Without It” states a widely held belief:

If any doctrine makes Christianity Christian, then surely it is the doctrine of the Trinity. The three great ecumenical creeds—the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed—are all structured around our three in one G-d, underlying the essential importance of Trinitarian theology.

The reality, however, is that a triune G-dhead is a belief straight from ancient paganism. Biblical scholars of all faiths know this and admit that the doctrine “cannot be found explicitely [sic.] stated in the earliest Christian writings. The only passage of the New Testament that declares the doctrine (1 John 5:7-8) was not originally part of the text but was added by doctrinally astute scribes at a later date (it is not found in any Greek manuscripts until the 11th century.)”

A Christianity founded upon belief in the trinity is a Christianity that has been amalgamated with paganism. As this corrupted Christianity spread, so also spread this heresy. Today, the vast majority of Christians believe this doctrine of devils is Biblical, while dismissing as cults, the handful of groups who steadfastly remain non-trinitarian.

By contrast, Scripture declares that there is only one true G-d: Yahuwah Elohim. Deuteronomy 6 opens with the admonishment: “Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which Yahuwah your eloah [G-d] commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the land whither ye go to possess it.” The very first thing they were to remember was the fact that there was only one true G-d, and that G-d was Yahuwah. “Hear, O Israel: Yahuwah our G-d is one Yahuwah: And thou shalt love Yahuwah thy G-d with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.” (Deuteronomy 6:4-5, KJV)

Remnants of Paganism

Even believers who are no longer Trinitarians are still influenced by this heresy. Belief in the pre-existence of Christ is a carry-over from the belief in an eternally co-existing “G-d the Father, G-d the Son, and G-d the Holy Ghost.” But it is not Biblical.

Scripture reveals that only Yahuwah, the Father, is eternally self-existent. Paul understood this fact. In a letter to Timothy, he described Yahuwah as the one “Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting.” (1 Timothy 6:16, KJV)

Yahushua came into existence precisely as Gabriel explained he would to Mary: “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of G-d.” (Luke 1:35, NKJV)

Yahushua did not exist prior to this point in time nor was he divine. He was 100% fully human. When the eyeglasses of pagan trinitarianism are removed, this fact is clearly seen throughout the New Testament. In fact, the Saviour’s favorite way of referring to himself was as the “son of man.” Throughout the gospels, Yahushua is quoted as using the word “son” 67 times. Of those occurrences, 44 of them were used as part of the phrase “son of man” while referring to himself.

“Son of man” was a commonly used Aramaic expression that simply meant human being. Again, this was Yahushua’s preferred way to refer to himself.

This does not mean he was created. He was not. However, he was begotten. Of the thirteen times the word “begotten” is used in the New Testament, eight times it is in direct reference to Yahushua being the only begotten son of Yah.

Son of Man

As the only begotten son of Yah, Yahushua was born a perfect human being with no inherited tendencies to evil. He was not born “in” sin. That was not the purpose of his birth. As the second Adam, he was born to redeem where the first Adam failed: as a human.

Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned— (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of G-d and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)

Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous. (Romans 5:12-19, NKJV)

Having lived a holy, sinless life, Yahuwah was justified in raising Yahushua from the dead.

All who truly love Yahuwah, will surrender their wills to Him, seeking to bring their lives in conformity to His revealed will. Even though they may sin in ignorance, they will never choose to willfully continue in known sin. The spirit of Yah, indwelling in the heart by faith, will enable the believer to overcome known sin. And, for all who trust in the merits of Yahushua, the Saviour’s righteousness is imputed to cover sins of ignorance.

While the wages of sin certainly is death, the gift of Yahuwah is eternal life through Yahushua. (See Romans 6:23.) In other words, because Yahushua succeeded where the first Adam fell, Yahuwah can now declare righteous all those who believe in Yahushua’s sacrifice.
