Eve, followed by Adam, disobeyed Yahuwah.

Eve began very well by quoting Yahuwah’s words, just like Yahushua did in Matthew 4:1-10. However, she succumbed to the temptation that she could rise above her created level and be just like Yahuwah Himself. Satan had declared his greatest desire - I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. (Isaiah 14:14) The world’s devastation has been the result. She “gave also unto her husband with her, and he did eat”- Adam had witnessed it all. Adam failed to take the lead, overrule and nullify her actions in this situation. 1 Timothy 2:14.

Genesis 3:4 – And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 – For Elohim doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as elohim, knowing good and evil.

This is the first lie recorded in scripture. This lie deceived Eve into believing that if she would eat from the tree, she would be “as elohim, knowing good and evil”. The temptation was that she could rise up out of the place Yahuwah created her to be, and be just like Yahuwah Himself. The “subtle” implication from the serpent was that Yahuwah had only forbidden her eating from that tree because He didn’t want her to be like Him, the “Most High”. So this temptation was not only an attempt to get Eve to rise up out of the place Yahuwah created her to be, but it was also an attack on the integrity of Yahuwah’s word. It is an imitation of satan himself to exalt yourself and seek to be “like the Most High” (Isaiah 14:14), so it is no surprise that he would tempt Eve with the same.
