Today, with the “women’s lib” movement and world view, women have again fallen prey to the temptation of rising up out of the place Yahuwah created them to be.

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. These three doors of enticement to sin are clearly demonstrated in Eve’s temptation as detailed in verse 6 of Gen 3.

Genesis 3:6 – And when the woman saw that the tree [was] good for food, [lust of flesh] and that it [was] pleasant to the eyes,[lust of eyes] and a tree to be desired to make [one] wise, [pride of life] she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Eve looked at the fruit with her eyes, and after noticing that it was good for food and what she thought it would do for her [status in life], she took the fruit and ate. As we know, it did not give her what she had hoped. She was greatly deceived! Now let’s not fall prey to the idea that this was just a cute little story about the beginning of creation. This is what brought the world into the awful condition it is today! Think of all the sin you have read, heard about or experienced yourself. The most heinous crimes imaginable are here because of this one decision.

Notice also that she “gave also unto her husband with her, and he did eat”. So Adam was right there with her while all of this was going on! Adam failed to exercise his authority and take the man’s lead in this situation. He could have said, “Eve, let’s get out of here” or at least quote Yahuwah’s words as Yahushua did when he was tempted. But instead he went ahead and ate the fruit when she handed it to him. Why did he eat the fruit? Was he deceived also? As we will see, Adam was not deceived. He simply chose to do what he knew, without a shadow of a doubt, was wrong. He presumptuously decided to disobey Yahuwah’s command.
