Genesis 3:14 – And Yahuwah Elohim said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou [art] cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: 15 – And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

So the serpent was cursed and Yahuwah predicted the seed of satan would ultimately bruise the heel of the woman’s seed. Although man also has a role in begetting children, this promise was given to the woman instead of the man. We do know that Yahushua was born of a woman but because of the virgin birth He had Yahuwah as His Father. Adam failed to exercise his dominion over the serpent. Yahushua would overcome the serpent’s temptations and not yield, though He would be wounded in the process. Therefore, Yahushua is worthy to receive all power and authority (Matt 28:18). We who are in Messiah again have authority over the serpent because while he may be the ruler of this world, we are part of a greater kingdom and have a greater King!

Luke 10:19- Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

We who are in Messiah will likewise triumph if we participate in His death, burial and resurrection:

Colossians 2:12- buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of Elohim, who raised Him from the dead.

2 Timothy 2:11- This is a faithful saying: For if we died with Him, We shall also live with Him. 12 – If we endure, We shall reign with Him. If we deny Him, He also will deny us.
