While WLC continues to uphold the observance of the Seventh-Day Sabbath, which is at the heart of Yahuwah's moral law, the 10 Commandments, we no longer believe that the annual feast days are binding upon believers today. Still, though, we humbly encourage all to set time aside to commemorate the yearly feasts with solemnity and joy, and to learn from Yahuwah’s instructions concerning their observance under the Old Covenant. Doing so will surely be a blessing to you and your home, as you study the wonderful types and shadows that point to the exaltation of Messiah Yahushua as the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, the conquering lion of the tribe of Judah, and the Lamb of Yahuwah that takes away the sins of the world.

1 Timothy 5:9- Do not let a widow under sixty years old be taken into the number, and not unless she has been the wife of one man, 10 – well reported for good works: [#1] if she has brought up children, [#2] if she has lodged strangers, [#3] if she has washed the saints’ feet, [#4] if she has relieved the afflicted,[#5] if she has diligently followed every good work.

In 1 Timothy 5:10 the third thing we see is “if she has washed the saints’ feet”. Since we mostly ride in automobiles and wear full shoes and even socks today, we don’t really have this issue. However, washing the feet of someone [be it clean or dirty] is still a very humbling thing to do. Think back to the time they were living - both people and animals traveled the mostly bare dirt roads in Israel. Because their feet would have been covered with dirt and animal dung, they would want to make sure their feet were washed before they entered a home. This goes to show that that a woman must let go of her dignity and pride in order to fulfill her role in the body of Messiah. Yahushua Himself washed the feet of His disciples as an example of the kind of attitude we should have.
